My GOD! I was a lad of about two and a half when visiting Boston... I don't remember much but these trees at the toy store stick out in my mind to this day. They weren't so much scary to me as just... weird. For years I wondered, "Did that really happen or was it a dream?"

I got a Hello Kitty bouncy ball that day that I had for years to come, must've been real. :D

This tree terrified me when I was little. We had an FAO Schwartz at the mall near my house in Illinois, and I would scream and cry every time we walked past it. I called it "The Scary Branch Store." I was so happy when that store closed!

i was scared to death of this tree when i was a little kid. i swear to god it is still freaking creepy. i would hide from it (behind the shelves) everytime we went into that store at the mall.

I remember the 5th Avenue FAO Schwartz back when they had all those automated robotic talking thingamajigs. There used to be a gigantic version of Ren and Stimpy who would scream at each other and used to scare me as a kid lol. The memories. FAO now, like Cecila1928 said has turned to poop.

I used to put my hands in the tree's mouth in the FAO in Long Island, NY. There wasn't a tree in NYC from what I remember. Then again, I was pretty young when FAO turned to poop.
