That may be true, but that still doesn't mean that Ringo wasn't legendary. Don't get me wrong, I love Lars Ulrich's style of drumming and love it so much, but Ringo's style has that coolness to it. He may have been shitty when he first started, but as his career went on, he got a lot better. Compare his drumming in I Saw Her Standing There to something like The End or Get Back. If you don't see any difference, it's that his timing and keeping to a tempo improved.
