Funny you ask. In this video, I was using my .22 with LR CCI Stingers. Later in the winter, I used my .30-06 with remington 55 grain accelerators bullets. I just purchased a Stevens .22-250 for this season. In fact, I just sighted it in this morning. Might be going tomorrow morning.

Backwards redneck waste! There is no point in predator hunting other than a thrill by taking another creatures life. Hunt eachother and do the world a favor you cowards.
no one made you watch this video dummy. if you have ever had cows you would think a little differently when they gang up and kill your calves. so just mind your own business
Sure would have been nice if you had popped one. I just got out yesterday for my first coyote hunt. North of Barrie, ON. Snowshoed about 6 km and had 3 stands. Area had tonnes of dear tracks lots of rabbit and some coyote tracks. Maybe I was winded or suck at calling but no action. A .223 is on my short list of things to buy, but was ready with my 300 win mag with reduced loads(150gr at 2000fps).
It would be nice. I have been on several stands this winter without success. The population is fairly low and they are well fed this winter. But it if was too easy it would not be fun.
You say you're a hunter on your homepage? What kind of hunter doesn't understand the need for predator control? It's a sport and hobby for one, and it also takes predation pressure off of other game animals. Have you seen what a coyote does to calves, sheep ? It isn't pretty! You call yourself a hunter, christian, and a republican and you come out with a comment like this? You're a confused individual ....
Only idiot hunters believe they're doing something that controls and balances nature. Research the facts and you'll find that Man has been the main cause of all extinction and endangerment in modern times. Predators have cause no extinction, fact. suck on it,
Only idiots don't realize that man has already thrown off the balance of nature. I don't anyone believes that coyotes/predators are going to extinct anything, so that's not the point. The fact is every fish & game department in this country treats coyotes as varmints/vermin. Why? Because they are so prolific that they damage the populations of animals that these departments try so hard to preserve. Coyote numbers are out of control. Read !!
I'm addicted to predator hunting, they' ve got hold of me and won't let go......i'm suppoused to be hunting turkeys right now!!!!, where i'm from, wolfs and coyotes is open all year around........yeah!
I feel the same way. Unfortunately, I had no success due to a low population where I was hunting. After I called in a lynx though , my addiction grew to unbelievable heights. Can't wait for September 15 for wolf/coyote & fox seasons to re-open. I took the wild turkey seminar this spring but I am unable to go this year.
sadly ive been born and raised in toronto but even the parents, and friends think i should have been born in the country. lol one of the few in toronto
i second the moving too much. they can see you better and faster than you see them. i bet he saw you and left before you saw him!

The thing is that humans have messed up nature
so now it is up to us to sort it out.
Unfortunately this often involves hunting, I am
not so sure what the story behind the coyote is
but if they are over populated then that causes damage
to the ecosystem. There is a similar story with
deer here in the UK, they need to be controlled
by hunting now that we have removed all their
natural predators.
