  • Another method would of been to just key out the blue.

  • actors on a ruf

  • Sick

  • all the effort for another star-wars thingy... yawn

    THINK OF SOMETHING ORIGINAL!

  • you're missing the point. Take what you learn and apply it to something original.

  • Or u could just add an animated figure instead of key framing them.

  • nice

  • or you could have just blue screened tthem in seeing as how the sky behind them was blue...

  • you could have just used curves to fix the sky i didnt no u were usin after effects

  • wooooooooooooooooooooow

  • Well done.

  • s-weet!!!!!!

  • pretty cool! and good voice to listen too :)

  • Incredible! Someone should really start something like the special Olympics for special people in the field of film and video.

The autistic film festival it could be called?

  • did you use the andrew kramers preset for the light sabers? Cause yours look with extreme quality, and talk about smart composing.

  • incredible stuff..

  • really nice, first I was thinking that u have used green screening but your idea of superimposing is cool.

  • This is Cal state San Marcos :D

  • awesome! great work

  • Oh hot D@*# dude that was excellent! Would you mind if I stole your idea for super imposition on occasion? ha, it was definately a good one. And for you, the transitions on here were wonderful, as well as the music and audio blending with each other and the footage. Great work!

  • the jumps are kinda crappy

  • this is iteresting.

  • So sweet, that kicked ass

  • really good!.

  • the majority of you post crap and have nothing of your own, or have any clue how much time an patience it takes to do this stuff...nice work dude

  • gay

  • can it be done with another, more cheaper program?

  • how do u make the sabers glow?

  • exelent job!

  • that was great!

I have Adobe Elements 4 and I don't see anything effects wise that I can do with it

    do you know any?

  • that was so cool!

  • your face is terrible.

  • You don't even know me! So, Ha!

  • fuck u too

  • what a constructive comment hã?

why dont post some cool video instead?

    now I say : ha!

  • fuck you

  • So the vid wasted your time, but you wasted more time by first posting a comment and then a reply... you fail.

  • Very good, i love this effect, i wiil try to do it. Thanks for the tutorial!

  • Nice work, a very innovative idea to use the blue sky as a matching background and mask out the ground.

watch Master Of The Action Movie Film !

  • Your pn the right track, I'd only suggest you slow the speed that they jump and fall at.

They jump up too fast and fall too fast, it makes it clear that its faked etc.

The eye doesn't know HOW its being fooled but it most always knows WHEN its being fooled, and "bad physics" and physical speeds have even ruined shots in the real series.

Make those jump/fall speeds more realistic and you're on your way!

  • You're right about the speed of the falls - but it's not just about slowing down the footage - the actor should start off stationary and accelerate to their terminal velocity of about one body length per frame - but they only reach that speed after about ten seconds. Until then it's a roughly linear acceleration.

I don't think you can be too hard on Mike, though - they didn't get the kinetics right in most of the CGI on the first three parts anyway (Obi Wan fighting Jango springs to mind).

  • what program??????

  • nicee

  • Coool

  • I think that's more a transposition than an imposition. Slow down the kinetics too.

  • how do u superimpose

  • nice stuff , you were lucky there were no clouds tho

  • what movie was this from?

  • none he just made this with fx

  • wow

  • nice

  • Now you just have to figure out a way to make the jump and fall slow enough to be believable...

  • that was brilliant man really man brill

  • Excellent thought process and great to see how you came up with that. By all means keep sharing info like this. I love this stuff, and am inspired to try something new.
