How much does it cost to run and own a skidsteer like that on average per month? and are skidsteers like the one you have jumpy? because I'm looking at maybe buying a Bobcat 463 and I'm woundering if skidsteers like these are jumpy and how much they cost to run per month. Thanks :)
try some purple power. my dad uses it at his shop, and all they do is spray it on let it soak for a couple of minutes and rinse with water. it works good to.
I was watching one of your videos from a while ago and it sounded like there was a lamb or something in the background. Do you guys also have sheep or goats?
Could you find somebody in your area that rebuilds alternators, starters, and the like and have him rebuild your generator as a 12 volt?
A rebuilt alternator for my '99 Powerstroke was $220 at Auto Zone. I had a local shop rebuild mine for $110. Cheaper and I gave business somebody local.
Im afraid that converting a 6v generator to a 12V would cost far more than buying a new 12V however I have come up with an elegant solution that I will address in a future video
Leaving the battery connect while doing this. NICE! Helped a mechanic do the same thing with a starter...only I didn't know it and he did. Once I figured that out I gave him back the Ratchet and extensions and let him do it. lol
Sometimes, people forget about the six volt setup. My cousin, connected a twelve volt system to a six volt system during an ill fated jump start attempt...
Are you converting the international to 12 volts for convenience , everything 12 volts on the ranch or is the 6 volt system not workable / repairable?
thats a great idea. i often think along the same line. new alternators do look awkward on antique tractors and engines ingenerator. i do have a couple 12v generators. i hooked them up to an engine and couldent produce any voltage, so they need to be excited again. and they need to be rebuilt. luckily the 6v gen on my antique john deere was rebuilt before my dad bought it for me. however the previous owner did not wire it correct so it didnt charge. i fixed that!

you can convert your international truck to a 12v alternator very easily. there is conversion kits and all that on ebay.
1944johndeerel 2 years ago
I would like to keep the truck as original as possible which is why Im on the hunt for a 12v generator instead of converting it to an alternator
