  • The song on this ad suites the iMac much better than the song on the original ad.

  • true, and a dancing silhouette from the ipod adverts being played on the iMacs screens might have made it look even better :D

    Thanks.

  • Good idea. You should make one like that.

  • Just to back Creativeatheart up, anybody who knew anything about Apples advertising techniques, or have researched the number of products they sale based on their viral marketing would know that they are on top.

  • can anybody tell me what song that is?

  • its 'I Like It Like That' by Peter Rodriguez

  • I understand that it's an impressive ad. Bu think of it this way:

Bob watches your advert. He thinks 'that's a good ad. I might have a look at that computer.'

But then Bob watches the new Dell advert, and Bob finds out he can get a Dell laptop for 500 pounds. It comes with a 5gb memory and all the windows programmes already installed.

So, Bob knows the benefits of the Dell laptop. He knows nothing about the iMac.

    Bob buys the Dell laptop.

  • Nice comment, i completely agree. Maybe combine style with stats in an advert?

  • That's the point though. They're trying to let the design and class of the product do the talking, rather than trying to persuade you by shouting a load of things you don't understand (Most people probably don't realize that you can't use more than 3GB of RAM on a 32-bit Windows system anyway).

So they take the best part of their product and advertise that; the look and feel. It's what makes Apple's products so desirable to people, because even if you buy a Dell you still want a Mac deep down.

  • You don't have to 'fry people's brains' as you so eloquently put it. But a song and a picture isn't enough to persuade people to buy a computer. From that advert, the iMac could be a crap computer; my point is people aren't any better aware after the advert than before.

  • that was crap... all show and no information.... a shame since i imagine if it contained something about the actual computer other than just pictures it would be good...

  • this was just a quick one. and this was originally an apple production, just my own music

  • its these sort of ads that make apple stand out. You don't need to bombard viewers with rubbish specs that'll just fry their brains, apple ads are probably some of the most memorable of all time!

  • yes, i imagine that being such an esteemed member of the apple company you know what makes the iMac stand out....
