@LizaMarie408 no my friend... The symbols you see on the left side are the names of each chord that is used at that time. For example Dm for D minor,. Gm for G minor etc

The chords are written on the sheet paper placed on the piano but they are easy, there's no need to read them. The bass notes (left hand) where a little more difficult, the rhythm and their chromatic movement. I just heard them and played them. Some times if I'm not sure, I use a program to slow down the speed keeping the pitch as it is. In this way you can make some difficult points clear.
