It was pretty scary. If she was in Southern Illinois, she was closer than me in Central Illinois.

i just googled it and apparently there have been earthquakes in illinois since like 1880?? it's happened every couple years or so.

You people might want to relocate all the farming equipment and animals to a more stable ground. And no, concrete is not stable. Move to Pennsylvania or New York where an earthquake is not likely to happen. I mean, you don't want cows and farming equipment falling into the "soft" soil in Illinois or Indiana! LOL!LOL!

hehe, but buddy we aren't used to it! also, we have some different circumstances possible, more to loose with earthquakes. We have more top-soil which makes for a pretty dangerous situation. I hear ya though. Cali would freak me out, that is just unnatural to me!

lol @ 3:08-3:11. my parents woke up and felt it. i slept right through it. there was only very minor rattling. we live in central Missouri, due north-east of st louis.

We have been due for a really massive earthquake. I was in a few local agencies that trained us for such a thing. We also have very loose and plentiful top soil rich in clay. it is scary when you have that instead of a thin layer like california

It's nuts, my sister in law is up that early, she lives in WI. She claims to have just thought she felt something around that time, and then heard about it later. That is way more than the 450mi radius they reported on the news, however it was barely noticeable by then.
