Common mistake to confuse the cars. I have four Festivas -- two carbureted and two fuel injected. Festiva was Korean. Manual model with fuel injection gets 50 mpg. Fiesta is made in Spain. Festivas are has-beens in US. Fiestas are currently being imported from Europe. Different cars. Both Fords. Both great cars.

@blastofo and why not. its not stock. hell yeah i would drive it as well even if i had the money he does. heck a 50hp Mazda B3 made that thing go like stink, 300hp would make that thing haul ass. hell yeah i would drive that. he owns 003 (the one in this video) and 005 (a purple one). i think only 7 of these was made by Chuck Beck and Rick Titus back in the 90's. these 7 are a bit rare. and he owns 2 of them.

Festiva was just a rebadged Mazda from Japan, the Fiesta is completely different. Anyway,  I can't believe he still has that modified Festiva. I remember reading about it when I was a kid a long time ago.

@fidgetingfinch hahah yeah agreed, the new taurus is way to heavy to be a sports car, because it's not a mustang and most people purchasing those cars arn't getting for a sports car. The new tarus is amazing quality compared to the old one. And For a four door that can fit five people, it's pretty quick, not to mention comfortable. But if you like the Legacy, that's your opinion, that's why theres different cars to choose from.

Around the world . . . . the Lupo L3 averaged 100 mpg in a trip around the world. Why does America keep so many diesels out? Honda has a wonderful diesel, but they won't bring it here because of our draconian regulations. Instead we push hybrids with their associated pollution involved in manufacturing. We push out incandescent light bulbs and push *mercury* fluorescent expensive bulbs.

AWESOME car.... super awesome car, although "300hp" seems a little conservative, unless it is simply a stock SHO engine with a moderate n2o kit.

-Jay, you should drop in a 4g63t, or a 4b11t, or a EJ25, w/ some bolt-ons and proper tuning you could easily make over 300Whp, then, I could at least semi-forgive your faulty take over of Conan's show.

@Dansotherutubeacount Well thats not technically true, In 2007 sales of the Taurus were so bad that they killed it off but than they decided to basically rebagde Ford Five Hundreds to keep the popular Taurus name/lineage and still have a reliable vehicle. Thus it was built up on a different chassis from the 08-09 models and now the 2010 to current models.

The Subaru Legacy B4 2.5 GT is an infinitely better car. But, if you took the SHO engine out and put it in a Fiesta, we might be getting somewhere. That is if you can fit it in.

He says "fiesta" which is WRONG! He is referring to the original SHO Taurus's engine, the SHO was discontinued in 1999 and then the SHO was reintroduced for the Taurus's 2010 model year.

Festiva was always assembled by Kia, and later became the Aspire. The Fiesta was always a Ford, and assembled by Ford in various countries. Jay Leno IS talking about two Fiestas, the video title is wrong.
