I only found out about the Lazy Shell after I played it. Culex is still cake without it, just don't try fighting him midway through the game haha.

Not really. I had lazy shell wepon AND armor, and Attack Scarf accecory. All his magic attacks did 1 or 0 damage to me.

I beat this guy using lots of rock candies, Peach with har lazy shell defense, Mario with his lazt shell and Geno with his Geno Boost (VERY useful if timed right cuz it increases defense and attack).

I remember this song O_o Took me 6 attempts to actually kill Culex, without rock candies. Lazy shell owns, along with Peach's healing abilites, I think my 3rd member was Geno, couldn't actually beat it though until I got the best equipment. Thanks for the upload ^_^

He was made specifically for MArio RPG. He's not in FF at all. The FFIV Boss theme was only used and that's it. There's no the reference to FF for Culex.
