Holy crow, I don't even like "Star Wars" and this is freaking beyond awesome work. (It helps that I have a soft spot for Mr. Katsu. :D ) Extraordinarily well done. :D
@MrKevin111998 It's Japanese! Rahm Kota's dialogue is pulled from the long-running series of Zatoichi movies and performed by actor Katsu Shintaro. Do yourself a big favor and check out a couple of them, you won't be disappointed!
@MrKevin111998 In my favorites there's a tutorial on using photoshop to create lightsabers. It's Mac-based, so I had to tweak it a little to work on my pc.
vfwing your stop-motion work is fantastic!! All of the movements flow really well and are very smooth. The camera angles, panning and zooming are excellent. I would be interested in knowing how you do your special fx.
@Seymssogood Man, I love your work!! Your homemade sets are expansive and adequate, giving your project a sense of scale. Speaking of the invasion of GI Joe HQ, of course.. still anticipate catching your new work! enjoyed discovering your film thru joe dios.. good times!
@Seymssogood it's all photoshop! There's a lightsaber tutorial in my favorites and the moving mouths were done as a composite-- using my own mouth! The flying guns were wire removal.
@vfwing You need more subscribers man. This is almost near professional. You need twice as much as Xuande88, and thrice as much as MarinoKit, and sextuple the amount of subscribers we have... combined. I muight be over-exaggerating, but still, I'm going to fave this piece of work. I admire the Blind Swordsman reference as well, not many of us would be willing to do Japanese cultured references. I see that this endeavour was well crafted, and developed by skilled a truly skilled animator. good.
@NitroNate6 It's a Sony HD Handycam, 1080p w/ 4.0 MP. Bought it used. I was actually pretty frustrated with it at first, as my comp was not up to snuff reading the HD file format it records to. It does do pretty good close-ups tho!
Dude...fuckin' DOPE. I noticed you had a lot more shots in this than any of your other pieces, and you went to some lengths to really make the whole production much more cinematic--all the coverage for one, the background/foreground action, shallow depth of field with focus racks yet, camera moves...camera moves all OVER the place, the one where dude force moves the blasters and you dolly over and in on him, with the blasters hovering through the air, that was a particular favorite.
I wander into some really geeky territory trying to make all the characters time lines work. Goes to show you how much you dragged me into it, I start trying to fit it into canon! Good times.
Isn't he the blind wino from SW the Force Unleashed?
osbely 1 month ago
@osbely Yes! Rahm Kota was instrumental in forming the rebellion. This story takes placed before he was blinded.

Still enviable! Keep it up. I love the alien band...
kludgeon 1 month ago
Yeah, but the action figures-- I've never even seen some of those, and they can't be that cheap. Anyway, great video for my money! Thanks.
kludgeon 1 month ago
@kludgeon Yeah, SW figs do tend to run pretty high! There's nothing especially old or collectible here tho, except maybe the vintage cantina set!

"Jihad! Jihad!"
No, really, that was the funniest thing I've seen in days! That looked like a pretty expensive video to make.. Great job. :D

@kludgeon I tried to do it on the cheap. Making much out of little as they say! Thanks!!

@ArtistMagazine I was hoping it could fit into canon, since the lead character is largely unexplored and pretty true to character. Grassy ass!
