HAHA!! I actually remember this promo vid to Wrestle War '90 like it was yesterday. I was only 10 years old at the time but true wrestling fan!! Whoooo!!
@Matthew6248 Probably not the reason. WWE doesn't like paying royalties unless they absolutely have to. On some of the old Wrestlemanias for instance Demolition's music which was performed by Derringer is swapped out for a generic theme. Doesn't only pertain to music either, a lot of intros Michael Buffer used to do for WCW in the late 90s are now muted when WWE rebroadcasts those events.
Well this wasn't exactly a no-nonsense wrestling theme... it was cartoony and more like what the WWF was doing at the time. The NWA hardcore fans hated the Federation.
Rick Steiner was a true hard-man - known as a peace-keeper backstage.
1-Punch and it's over with him.

I'm pretty sure that the version I saw also had an extra line from 0:25 during the part where this video is silent:
"It's Pay-Per-View excitement, from T.H.E.
For more information, call your cable company!"

The one thing about Wrestle War'90 Wild Thing was that with Sting legitamatly injured, Ric Flair was able to have a longer title reign...

Okay. I was just making sure that I wasn't stoned as an 8-year-old back in 1990 after watching this.

If by 'bad' rap song, you mean awesome, then yeah. It is.

It was something because by the time of this ppv, half the card had changed because of injuries and storyline changes.

The song is so bad that the WWE Classics On Demand/24/7 version replaced it with a Dub theme.

@Matthew6248 thats probably the one time I would be grateful for WWE for changing the original theme lol

Dr Dre could learn a lot from this.

I bet that went down well with the NWA/WCW core fan base.
