I played high school football with Terrence Kerns and he has the ability to be great..6'2" 235 lbs. with a strong 4.3 40-yard dash. His head isn't (wasn't) straight. He went to military academy after high school and when he came to WVU he couldn't get the scores he needed and was eventually accused of cheating on the ACT after he got a good score and was kicked out of WVU. Tough story but all of these guys made poor decisions after they came to WVU.
To all the people saying that Deon Long, Logan Heastie, Terrence Kerns, and some other guys didnt come here I just wanted to say they did lol. (Not in a rude way). They left cause of their attitude and was all about them. Deon was redshirted and then stopped showing up to practice because he didn't like his role on the team and left the University. Logan was in the same boat but the coaches actually told him not to come back after he walked out on them.

Wow, I tend to forget about the recruiting class as the season is played out because you don't really see many of these guys on the field. We have the weapons to obviously keep on competing for the Big East championship next year, which thankfully seems like it's going to happen every year even with the departed he that shall not be named. Very excited about next year, makes you feel good when you have this much talent. Especially after they will have a year already under them in the system.

Our Defense is supposed to be our strong suit, and they didn't show that against Liberty, but I look for them to show up next week against ECU. mrthunder83 my sentiments exactally, this weeks ECU game will be tell tell, where the team stands. my perception has changed a bit. i was so impressed with browns running and passing, i feel he can spark a team and push players the way pat white did. especially in the critical passing game. and wvu has such a start from scratch young team,that has to mature. but i got a feeling that if brown can keep up his excellent passing game it will set up devine and the running game down the road.

really other than Devine's field reversals & Pat just proving everyone wrong on passing, I haven't seen much plays as spectacular from either as good as last season.
anyway you can't find another player built like devine now, even at his height he benches more than atleast 93% of the college RBs and has a 40 time faster than 96% of them.

I think a lot of it had to do with him running up the middle a lot. I know I'm not a coach and just an armchair quarterback but I think Noel would definitely be better on stretch plays. But I agree with you. Hopefully he can get some support from this years line and really turn his game up.
As for the QB recruits it's like this- competition, competition and more competition. Nothing motivates to work harder than knowing someone's waiting for your spot if you can't/don't produce. On top of all these, Jeremy Johnson may be coming.

Our Defense is supposed to be our strong suit, and they didn't show that against Liberty, but I look for them to show up next week against ECU. I was impressed with J Brown both running and passing, spreading the ball around and making good decisions. Noel Devine just needs to hit his holes and take 3 or 4 yards instead of always bouncing it to the outside trying for the big play. I think we will have a good idea after ECU the kind of team WVU has...

mrthunder83 my sentiments exactally, this weeks ECU game will be tell tell, where the team stands. my perception has changed a bit. i was so impressed with browns running and passing, i feel he can spark a team and push players the way pat white did. especially in the critical passing game. and wvu has such a start from scratch young team,that has to mature. but i got a feeling that if brown can keep up his excellent passing game it will set up devine and the running game down the road.

Suspect D? Listen man, my 1st cuz is Marc Magro. He was at the game, and he was quick to point out to me that Villanova gained close to 400 yrds on the same D in the season opener last year. He said alot of it has to do with the Vanilla packages they put in for an FCS opponent. They had some kinks to work out. They will show up for next week. He Guaranteed it to me.

FFan8 glad to hear that you think the defence will get stronger because we are going to need it from here on out so i really hope you are right about that.. and i now feel wvu fans can take comfort in brown"s ability to lead the team. after watching brown last week zip the downfield and connect with those recievers the way he did.opposing defences will have to take notice of the wvu passing game and that will eventually set up devine and co. to bust it wide open. hopefully! We will see how this yr plays out, before I shun a guy for his "awe shucks attitude" coaching is overrated. You get the best players, and you win. Bar none. Stewart runs the special teams. Thats it. He has surrounded himself with head coaching candidates by the names of Casteel and Mullen, and Holliday.

All Bill Stewart has done is go 2 and 0 in bowl games, One against the upstart Tar Heels, and win the BCS game against Oklahoma. Not to mention he won 9 games in a TRANSITION year. Oh, yea. Top 25 recruiting class. Give him this year before you judge him. He is smarter than you think.

6.3 ypc, may not be the best this year its damn good & 4 tds? thats only cause most goal line plays went to pat white or sanders.
not to mention most the playmakers this year left anyway, pat & devine were only players that any team keyed on when they played wvu.

really other than Devine's field reversals & Pat just proving everyone wrong on passing, I haven't seen much plays as spectacular from either as good as last season.
anyway you can't find another player built like devine now, even at his height he benches more than atleast 93% of the college RBs and has a 40 time faster than 96% of them.
say what you want, but I bet if he left you would cry like a short ass bitch for the "midget" to come back

I think a lot of it had to do with him running up the middle a lot. I know I'm not a coach and just an armchair quarterback but I think Noel would definitely be better on stretch plays. But I agree with you. Hopefully he can get some support from this years line and really turn his game up.
