It was always one thing to listen to a Ramones record and one thing alltogether to listen to them live. I was at three of their concerts, including the one in NJ when they played with Deborah Harry (French Kissing) and the Tom Tom Club (what kind of a matchup is that?), and I can honestly say that you could have put some sort of machinery in front of the mikes, it wouldn't be less of a piece of music. Completely impossible to hear any type of melody or rythm whatsoever, it was just noise. Great!
