He created his name in 2004 he only changed the Midle word. The one who ripped off was Jaakko, and by the way, I watched a LOT of Jaakko videos, and In the Die Hard review he quoted the (real)AVGN.

@HySonic James Rolfe was the Angry Nintendo Nerd until 2006. Jaakko was already reviewing games as the Angry Video Game Nerd when James decided to rip him off.

@HySonic First of all, he is not an idiot. You would see that if you watched more of his videos. Second, he is not sleepy but rather calm, which amplifies the moments when he really does get angry.
The question you should be asking is, why did James Rolfe steal Jaakko's reviewer name. Now Rolfe's fans think that their AVGN is the original one and Jaakko gets harassed for it. Do your research and leave the original AVGN alone.

@Selderij James is the original reviewer, he started has the Angry Nintendo Nerd, then in 2006 they asked him to continue, he accepeted and he eventualy started reviewing other systems, because of that, he changed from the Nintendo Nerd to the Videogame Nerd(what other word could he use?). He created his name in 2004 he only changed the Midle word. The one who ripped off was Jaakko, and by the way, I watched a LOT of Jaakko videos, and In the Die Hard review he quoted the (real)AVGN.

@HySonic Rolfe is the one who ripped off Jaakko by changing his reviewer name to one that was already being used. James has also continuously reviewed games that Jaakko already has. I really can't understand the logic that the one who originally used the name and reviewed the same games is the ripoff only because he isn't as popular.

@Selderij Excuse me? Jaakko calls good games bad, not something James would do unless it was serious like Battletoads. Jaakko says almost nothing but bad shit on good games. He did so with Super Mario World. Just because of the changes made, he calls the games bad? That kind of reviewing blows, along with the suckish gaming he does with each of the games! He has no idea how to do either one. There are so many flaws in his videos, I lost count after like 30!

@FormerMC001 Perhaps you should for a moment forget everything that you expect or want Jaakko to be (in your case probably a Rolfe copycat, which he is not). His videos are not reviews in the traditional sense: he plays countless different games for a few minutes until he has seen enough, and then gives or doesn't give a verdict based on his short experience. He shows us a world of games that we have never seen before, since some of the games are very, very obscure.

@FormerMC001 For example, one of the subtle themes in his game videos is that he picks a random Japanese game, first trying to guess what type of game it is, and if (or when) it turns out to be an RPG, he tries to survive the Japanese dialogue at the start and find his way out of the starting location and into the world screen. He also comments of various tropes and similarities shared by the games, usually predicting game mechanics and events with great accuracy.

@Selderij Okay, update; I checked his Donkey Kong Country 2 and Sonic Sucks videos. First of all, I couldn't understand what he was saying in DKC2, even though I turn the volume up, and why the hell did he say Sonic sucks? All he did was jump on a spike continuously until he got hit without a ring...WITH HIS LAST LIFE!!! What kind of gaming/verdict is that? That's horrible! Also, I'm pretty sure Mario hacks and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 aren't that obscure. A quick summary like Jaakko's is bad.
