I try to buy American whenever I can. Most of the food I buy comes from my hometown Detroit, Michigan, my Camaro was built in Norwood, Ohio, and my New Balance shoes come from the east coast of America. Awesome!

New Balance, I don't understand why you don't advertise this more. I didn't know that you made shoes in the US- or that you were the only shoemaker producing in this country- until I researched it myself. Where are the commercials? If you advertised this on TV, your sales would SKYROCKET. People don't know about you. They don't know that you make shoes here. They don't know your story. Get it out there! It would be beneficial for your company, for the consumers, and for our entire nation.

Like just about any product anymore, some of the top models of brand are made in the USA. New Balance still has some shoes that are made in China. Danner Boots, of Portland,Oregon, still makes some great outdoors boots in Portland, however, the lightweight hikers are made in China. Filson, famous for it's rugged outerwear from Seattle, now has some of it's garments made in China.

Some models are made in the US, others are not. As with any product you buy, check the label. I always buy off the internet as it makes it easier to find the American made shoe. Funny thing is comparable Nike shoes, made in China, are more expensive. Talk about alot of profits for Nike!

Keep in mind this is only a marketing campaign. According to their own website: "...we're proud to say that 25% of our shoes sold in North America are made or assembled right here". And the shoes they do manufacture in the U.S. are made both from domestic and foreign materials (imported mainly from China).

Unfortunately here in Croatia (Europe) we don't get that. I just bought New Balance shoes cos' I had heard a lot of good things about that brand. But my pair is MADE IN CHINA! And I paid them about 160$. Need I say that here in East Europe our living standard is much lower than yours. Anyway they do look and feel like quality shoes. Just hope they'll keep the rain out.
My Grandpa, Phil Woods (age 72), is such an inspiration. While wearing his favorite shoes, New Balance 993's, he is currently walking across America to promote a healthier nation. He has already walked from East to West and now is on his trek from North to South. He estimates to get about 420 miles out of his New Balance shoes and recommends them to any walker.
I have been running in the MT 100 for a month now & love them. I think I'll keep looking to run in NB shoes in the future. The MT's I have were made in China....

@TouchdownTopper While I do think it's better to support the American workers, I have to call BS on the quality claim. Compare the stitching on one of NB's "made in the USA" shoes (the ONLY series they actually make in the US) with the stitching on their chinese shoes. The stitching on the Chinese shoes is way better. Because it costs so much more to pay americans a fair wage, the US shoes actually have to be sewed with automated machines, while the chinese shoes are still hand-stitched.

New balance has lots of shoes made in the USA, England, Japan, and some in China. There is a huge quality difference between the first three and the last one. Only if the other brands would do this same thing and stop being too cheap to pay people real money.

They don`t make all their shoes in the USA. But they are super easy to find out which ones are. Go to their website and click on shop then on New Balance Express. They have a section for US made and US assembled shoes.
I usually find the shoe model number then go to Amazon because of the lower price. Funny thing is the US made shoes are sometimes cheaper then foreign shoes from Nike.
Talk about a huge markup on those Nike shoes! Probably costs about 10 dollars to make.
I buy only New Balance, the ones that are made in the USA. Little steps like that -- if we all do it -- can help our country from totally sinking into the shitter. Despite what the likes of Goldman Sachs told us in the 1990s, we are not all going to be rich stock investors some day. Despite whether they're made in China or USA, I really love the honesty and integrity of American brand products. In China, many things are labeled, "Made in USA" even though they're made in Philippines or Korea.

yes Nissan cars are put together here, but the parts are made in Japan , So only workers at the assemble plant have jobs, US auto companies employed up to 500,000 workers per company though there suppliers of parts, My wife worked for a small company that supplied steering parts for the big three, they are gone so just because the say made in USA there aren't always

I saw the shortened version of this commercial on TV and at the end that version says "One out of every Four shoes we sell was made in the US" I came on here to look for that commercial to show my friends because that is laughably terrible advertising.

Keep in mind this is only a marketing campaign. According to their own website: "...we're proud to say that 25% of our shoes sold in North America are made or assembled right here". And the shoes they do manufacture in the U.S. are made both from domestic and foreign materials (imported mainly from China).

I have a pair of 992s and 993s and a pair of 1226s on the way. I also plan on getting some 993s for friends at chrismas. As long as they make them here this will be the only athletic shoe I will buy.
America will make it as long as we continue to make it in America.

I'm glad for you guys to be able to buy something that was NOT made in China.
Unfortunately here in Croatia (Europe) we don't get that. I just bought New Balance shoes cos' I had heard a lot of good things about that brand. But my pair is MADE IN CHINA! And I paid them about 160$. Need I say that here in East Europe our living standard is much lower than yours. Anyway they do look and feel like quality shoes. Just hope they'll keep the rain out.

My Grandpa, Phil Woods (age 72), is such an inspiration. While wearing his favorite shoes, New Balance 993's, he is currently walking across America to promote a healthier nation. He has already walked from East to West and now is on his trek from North to South. He estimates to get about 420 miles out of his New Balance shoes and recommends them to any walker.

@TouchdownTopper While I do think it's better to support the American workers, I have to call BS on the quality claim. Compare the stitching on one of NB's "made in the USA" shoes (the ONLY series they actually make in the US) with the stitching on their chinese shoes. The stitching on the Chinese shoes is way better. Because it costs so much more to pay americans a fair wage, the US shoes actually have to be sewed with automated machines, while the chinese shoes are still hand-stitched.

New balance has lots of shoes made in the USA, England, Japan, and some in China. There is a huge quality difference between the first three and the last one. Only if the other brands would do this same thing and stop being too cheap to pay people real money.

They don`t make all their shoes in the USA. But they are super easy to find out which ones are. Go to their website and click on shop then on New Balance Express. They have a section for US made and US assembled shoes.
I usually find the shoe model number then go to Amazon because of the lower price. Funny thing is the US made shoes are sometimes cheaper then foreign shoes from Nike.
Talk about a huge markup on those Nike shoes! Probably costs about 10 dollars to make.

Despite what the likes of Goldman Sachs told us in the 1990s, we are not all going to be rich stock investors some day. Despite whether they're made in China or USA, I really love the honesty and integrity of American brand products. In China, many things are labeled, "Made in USA" even though they're made in Philippines or Korea.

@TouchdownTopper It's not Buy American, it's buy Made in USA. Nike is American but they make their shoes in China. Nissan is Japanese but they make a lot of their cars in the USA. Always look for Made in USA, even if it is a foreign brand. I will always buy Made in USA

yes Nissan cars are put together here, but the parts are made in Japan , So only workers at the assemble plant have jobs, US auto companies employed up to 500,000 workers per company though there suppliers of parts, My wife worked for a small company that supplied steering parts for the big three, they are gone so just because the say made in USA there aren't always
