mine is so different ? i dont get the little thing on the desktop and even so when i go on files and look at it when i click open contents it just comes up with 'os mac' 'resources' 'plugins' 'framworks' :( help please

For whatever reason I have the same problem as abtstract - I do everything in the video but the themes still won't show up. However, I also don't have iLife 08 since I downloaded iMovie HD onto may 2010 Mac... if there's anything you can do please help...

Holly crap this Didn't work for me for the first 3 times. so i decided to try a 4th time by deleting the program and reinstalling the software and following the instructions step by step and im Happy to say that it worked.

@Shinyapplz There are a handful that come with iMovie, but the cool thing about HD is that you CAN purchase extra 3rd party themes, transitions, effects, etc. if you want. Just do a Google search "iMovie HD themes" etc

Thanks for this, it put the themes in imovie hd 6. You should add voice instructions to this it would be better that way.

got iMovie HD6 but how do i get "themes" to work?

i dragged the "imovie/themes" folder (from download) into the "application support" of the "library" folder ... but still no themes! i don't have iLife 08 either

yes thats correct. Move from the archive (blue folder) .."imovie" folder which contains "themes" (at 3:00 in my video here) to Macintosh HD>Library> Application support. If u lost this file....u can alway redownload from link and redo process and archive for non-life 08 user by selecting archive.pax.gz and blue folder will be recreated and just get the file u need and delete the remaining app and stuff that u already have in the trash.
