My parents used go to get a hamburger and watch kids do burnouts.

They were in their mid-fifties at the time and said the kids were always polite, never swore around them.

That was about 30 years at Scarborough and Trigg car parks, both in Western Australia.

We did run into them a couple of times and got told don’t come complaining when you get caught.

Back then WA didn't have anywhere besides Ravenswood to go to, and not everyone lived near there. Now they have Perth Motorplex, and many people go there to do burnouts and racing.

Here in Adelaide we had AIR back then and it was a very popular racetrack, lots of people went there to race and do burnouts. Now Adelaide has no track at all and the Government complains about people doing burnouts and racing on the street.

I think they need to realize that drag strips really do help.

And as far as breaking the law, well there is a ratio of risk to fear. The problem with Aus convict law is that the ratio is no-where near fear. Visit Singapore as a eg and have a look at how law can stamp out the shit.
