@brandyn420420 You know what? I'm sorry my dad worked his way up and became the CEO of two overhead crane companies, I'm sorry I was brought into that family, I'm sorry we did something with our lives and now we can enjoy them. I'm sorry I'm looking for a high paying job now that I've graduated. And I'm sorry for you, mooching off society. Go enjoy your welfare check and getting pissed at people who did things with their lives. Stop complaining to me, and get yourself a good paying job.
@brandyn420420 the only quads I had bought for me where my first quad 10 years ago, and my second quad, when I was 13. The rest I've bought with my own money. I've had 3 jobs in the past 6 years and thats all been paying for my quads. Now I'm looking for full time work now that I'm out of high school. Yeah, I've worked for my shit. Thats how you make it in life. I suggest you do the same, or beg to your parents that you don't get as much handed to you.
Hey dude, love that track, nicely job just hitting those jumps effortlessly. Ohhh and yah, SHUT THE FUCK UP brandyn420420, you got shit handed to you, maybe you have a job but you are some desk jockey who is getting his apartment paid by their dady, OHHH, and another thing, THIS IS ONLY YOUTUBE! get the fuck over it and stop trying to make your parents being rich justifiable, nobody cares honestly.
@jeffiboys None of the YFZ's have reverse. I would have thought that when designing the X they would have looked into that, but I guess not. If you want a 450 with reverse the only ones are the Polaris 450MXR, Kawasaki KFX450R, and the KTM 450XC.
right a week ago my chain broke i don't mean it came i mean it broke in 2 so i take it where i bought it and luckily they have the same quad there so they just swap it but ever since my chain has been coming of every day i go on it after about 2 hours it comes off it does not snap but i can put it on easily but what do i need to do to stop it coming off do i need to take a link out ?
@TheFanta913 Nah man, you have a YFZ right? On the back of your swing arm theres 4 bolts, loosen them, but not all the way. Then you should see a hole in your carrier on the chain side. Now all you need to do is stick a screwdriver in that hole and pull your quad back. This tightens the chain. Once its tight, 1.5" of movement up and down your chain is good. Pull out the screw driver and re-tighten the bolts at the end of the swinger.
yeah thats kool. i got me a cam also just waiting on a cool place to ride to use it. ill be lookin for the new films. im working on geting some of mine going. i just dont do to much of recording
have you ever fallen of when doing jumps because my old quad it was only a 150cc i used to do some small jumps but then i started to do bigger ones then i fell of and broke it
Oh yea, Thats a normal part of riding. Every sport has to have accedents. When the first Behind Bars video gets released you will see some of our crashes.
We are all 16, And I have been riding quads since I was 6. I started on a Z400, then moved to an LT-R then YFZ. Changing quad to quad is difficult to re-learn all the jumps because each quad will handle differently. Its really only a matter on days if you put your best effort into jumping and then you learn your machine a lot better.
Thats awesome!!! Should i geta yfz450? How reliable is your quad im a dirt bike rider but do you think i could handle the yz450f, i rode it and its awesome!! BTW im 15 years old. But when you got your yfz did it feel like it wanted to rip your hands of or somethings? Also how does it do in the woods? Also AWESOME TRACK!!!!!
Personally, I'm a quad guy, so I'd recomend a YFZ450 or TRX450R. Those are among the two most reliable 450's, and at first, if you are stepping up from a smaller bike, a 450 will give you a kick in the pants. Thanks for the comments aswell man. I got my first 450 at 15 aswell, so your deffinatly all clear for one. My quad feels diecent in the woods, mostly becasue the shocks are set-up for MX though.
Those would work too. A 450 quad is like a 250 bike. A modded 450 is like a 450 bike. The 250F is a baller bike, id get one if I ride with two wheels.
yeah man but the thing is that i dont want to g a smaller bike then in like the next year grow out of it in like the next two years and then regret it from not buying a bigger bike.
Yeah thats true. It really depends on what you ride though. for SX you'd want a 250F (bike) because they rev a lot faster, If you do more open stuff like MX then a 450 would be better. If you want a quad, by all means, get a 450 because you will out grow anything else in less than a year.
Yeah, But the DOHC 5 valve engine was meant more for faster paced riders. With a 450 at a slow pace your on and off the clutch a lot, If going fast isn't your forte then get a 700 for the extra torque generated from a longer stroke. And I have never had a 450 overheat to the point where its spraying water. Polaris is common for that becasue its polaris. All the Japaneese 450's never really over heat.
Yeah i see what your saying man. But do you think if i get it, i will have to get used to it. Like whenever i rode it, my front end just kept coming up, do you think i will get used to the bike and that wont happen to often? Also, sorry for all the questions
Yeah, you will get used to it. Before it always feels like the front wants to jump up and flip ya, but after you get used to it, you can pin it in first and keep your front end down.
BTW: thats ok, If ya got questions I'm happy to answer them.
dude....seriously that is about some of the best jumping on a YFZ i have seen........i ride a lot, but im nowhere as good as you......i was 6 wen i started ridin a off-brand 60....then at age 8 i got i honda rancher 400 AT !!!.......nnow i am 12 and ride a kfx 700.......
thanks for the comment, but i will say that i am far from being the best jumper. if you have ever watched any of the Huevos series or Carpe Deim, even Akraix. those guys can jump.
if your 14 and just starting out, you shouldnt get a YFZ450. that has too much power even stock. go to your local Suzuki dealer and look for a Suzuki LT-Z400. it'll be more than enough quad to last you for quite a few years. you can find them used for around 3-4K. and yea, you would want to start out on a table top jump, if its your first time actually on an MX track then make a 10-15 foot table and work your way up from there.
16. and i forgot to mention in your last post, depending how old you are, and how long you have been riding for, really depends on the quad you should get. if your alot yonger than me, the deffinatly go for the Raptor 250. if you around my age and its your first "larger" displacement machine get a Z400. its what i started on before moving up to my YFZ.
sure thing man. all depends on how high you want your jumps and how much land you want. make it on. make lots of corners, becasue those help keep your speed up, and dont rush into building the biggest baddest jump. start small, within your skill level and work your way up from there. my two biggest jumps are a 65 foot double and the tabletop is 74 feet. if you make a 70+ footer make it a tabe first and get comfortable with it. dont try to save dirt and make a double. play it safe, dont get hurt.
thanks is the 74 footer the one with no landing or could tell me the time on the video that you hit it and i only have a 100cc quad and its 6 years old what quad would be the best quad at first the yfm 250 r or the yfz 450
Dustin26: you dont need to be rich to have your own track. my family lives on 40 acres, so i decided to do something with it. all of my freinds have their own tracks too.
your a douche bag, if he was rich, he would have a new bumper and front tires, give this guy some respect, he is young, and probably worked his ass off to build this track.
how the hell do you know if he worked his butt off its called a bulldozer and a bobcat not hard to make it when you got that ooh yeah and i forgot if he had a new bumper and front tires then that would make him rich it is a tight track though quadboy
well, i know. and we dont have a dozer. that track is basically all bobcat and refined with shovel and a few other hand tools. right now the only mods on her are nerfs, and graphics. and a little cutting on the fenders and airbox.
thanks. it did take a pretty long time to build. it started off as a few small jumps and a lay out my dad made back in my Z400 days. there was some land being developed so they dumped dirt for free and here is the track today. and yea, the quad is about as stock as she comes.
Nick, the YFZ deffinatly has more power, and i did loose 3rd gear on my LT-R, yes. the only thing i miss from the LT-R was the width, but aftermarket A-arms are only 800 bucks.
