first: WHY the HELL would you say "God Bless America" if you're an atheist!?!?! It's just rude to christians, that's like me saying "nothing happens when you die"
First amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" let's do some math.
Christianity = C*(A+B+D+E+F+G+H+I+M+Q+R+O+U+S)
Parts of Life = A, B, D, E, F, G, H, I, M, Q, R, O, U, S
Why does it say this?: *Following the suggestion of this video's author, we have removed his second video (What about the *non* religious voters?) from the top ten because it essentially asked the same question.
True, I do remember giving them the option to remove the video of mine with the lowest votes. I had no idea they would be so close in 2nd and 3rd place though. Oh well, yes atleast we got one of them in. Also, Chris Dodd answered this question and all the answers to my non religious voters question would probably be the same. We can get a variety of answers to my other question however.
What the hell happened to this question over at 10questions? This is the one I wanted to see most and they removed it despite it having third most votes. I guess they just didn't want too many questions dealing with the problem of religion in America.
The founding fathers foresaw the problem religious influences will have on politics (and the kind of zealous fanaticism it brings), so they decided to mandate the separation of church and state. Let's keep it that way.
Being a Christian obviously hasn't made Bush any kind of model of morality. Let's put religion back in the private sphere where it belongs and get our country back on a rational footing.
I would also incourage atheists AND non-Christian citizen voters to show up to the live TV debates and try to get on the list of questioners, write down a generic question to get to the mic. then switch the question off script so they cant cut you out at that point. Something like "What are you doing to educate every citizen including non-Christians about "no religious test" in letting them know they CAN run for any office?
When people talk about the need to break down the idea of a religious test for a person to run for congress they are often refering to the misconception that all congressmen are Christians who attend church regularly.
btw religion is ambiguous=not really religious do you understand that?
Hi Lunch4lyfe, I sent you a message earlier today. Don't know if you check this comment board more often than your inbox, but if so, take a look at the message and get back to me when you have a sec. Thanks!
As a pagan, I think this is a great question! I would love to hear the candidates responses.

Morals = M
Christian Morals = CM
Moral values of our nation (NM) = A complex equation involving M & CM
We make laws based on NM the "Moral Values of our Nation" and we elect leaders that represent our beliefs and morals, so:
CM (Christian Morals) are every bit as important to law-making as M (Morals of everyone else) are.

Nevermind. I see you decided to remove it. I would've rather seen this question than the other, but at least one of them made it through.

What about the *non* religious voters? ^^^
Air drop'em over Cuba. They can hate god all they want, and the nation is already communist, so they won't have to change anything.

Didn't we just elect to Congress a Muslim two Buddhists and a bunch of people who's religion is ambiguous?
+We've had more dozens of Jewish people in Congress for decades.

Which part of "non-religious" do you not understand?

I hope the canidates don't tiptoe around this question. It's about time the people ask politicians to uphold the seperation of church and state.
