Emo and Goth bosed used to be respectable genres believe it or not, cos when they first came out they were associated with good bands (SDRE, The Cure) and not the shit ones who gave the genres a bad name (My Chemical Romance, H.I.M). I think with both the fashion sense always sucked but that's just my personal taste.

I was researching about emo music, and the only conclusion I can draw is that it doesn't exist! Every band wich is tagged "emo" reject the term, and take it like an insult. I been on another SDRE binge while on a Paramore binge as well, and it dawned on me it's like "Holy, shit. ok". Out of all the bigger emo bands like Rites, Moss Icon, Fugazi... SDRE is probably IMO the best and helped forge the modern emo sound, no not pop punk, legit emo.
