@xMDP78x Ya, Jeff may be the better technical sax player, but Roi could fucking play. Jeff's solos can be a little over the top and too out there. This band was at its best last 90s to early 2000s when they had Butch and Roi, they had that smooth jazz sound and Roi could play like no other. Everything he did with a sax was gold, and he will always be my favorite saxophonist. I've never heard one person be able to say so much through their instrument without any words.

Wooten stole the show. That bass solo will forever be ingrained in my mind as one of the greatest solos of all time by anyone. Wooten is truly the epitome of all bass players and it's sad that he's so unappreciated in mainstream music since NO ONE knows who he is but he really is amazing. I wish he got more recognition since he's probably the most famous bass player of our time.

@Harbec He doesn't play it by scales. Wooten plays any note and if it doesn't fit he slides it up/down a semitone so it fits.

It's his philosophy rather than worry about what notes are "right"
