  • Every foreign car made in America was subsidized by both the U.S. taxpayers and the taxpayers in those auto companies countries. 32,000 BMW's recalled for real fire hazards this year. 14,000,000 fords recalled for fire hazards. 550 fires, 30 homes burned down. 250 deaths in Jeep Grand Cherokees in rear end collisions in 10 years. 160,000 VW's recalled for fire hazards this year. 19 Audi models recalled for fire hazards. Watch Fox News, but watch something else also. You may learn sumpin'

  • 18000 Chevy Volt recalled LOL, lawn mower cars

  • @meltdown53 There is no recall. (look it up - search Volt + recall. the NHTSA said no recall). GM is doing a voluntary recall. The Insurance Institute For Highway Safety, which gave the Volt a 5 star rating AFTER the crash test fires says the insurance rates for those who chose not to upgrade the car will have higher rates than those who do. It only makes sense. My lawn mower car saved me $680 in gas since I bought it Oct. 6. Love my "lawn mower"!

  • @ra5928 $680, thats great, if you do not run on gas must be electric where do you plug in at? how much does that cost?

  • @meltdown53 I plug it in my wall recepticle in my garage. I only use 120 V because I don't need a fast charge. My local rates in Santa Clara, CA are $0.088 per kwh. It takes 13 kwh's to fully charge my car, (10 actual hours @ 1.3 kw's per hour). That's $1.14 per charge. I am averaging 40 miles per charge. That's 2.85 cents per mile. I should have stated, the savings included the cost of charging. I actuall saved $750 + but I subtracted the $74 it cost to charge the car, for 2,600 miles

  • @ra5928 I thought this was very interesting...

    utk.edu/tntoday/2012/02/13/researchers-find-ecar-emissions-harmful

  • @meltdown53 Per PG&E

.524 lbs. of co2 are emitted per kwh. produced

    13 kwh's to charge a Volt = 6.182 lbs. / co2 emitted per charge

    40 miles range per charge

    1000 miles \ 40 per charge = 25 charges per 1,000 miles driven

    25 charges X 6.182 lbs. Co2 = 154.55 lbs co2 emissions per 1000 miles driven

  • @meltdown53 Average ICE vehicle emits 1,000 lbs co2 per 1,000 miles driven

Average light truck is 1,600 lbs co2 per 1,400 miles driven

  • end fox news petion now!

  • This massive amount of money for this eco-commie-con-dummie dump would sure be nice to have for the foster kids care or food banks or for fixing up National Parks. Instead we have dims and libs lavishing our last CA$H on this? ...seeeesh...
