  • hi man could you tell me where to buy the push rods, moving rods, acting rods, watever is it called (the arms that move the ailerons, not the servo ones, the long arms) for this plane? a link would be useful

  • Hi heberorozco.

I used a pull-pull setup on this plane and it came with the kit... I think.

If not you can always get it from your LHS or just about anywhere online. I like Tower Hobbies - towerhobbiesDOTcom.

  • @lancealbanese oooh nice because i dont see the moving rods (watever) in the photo of the kit (nitroplanesDOTcom) well thanks man i guess that i will buy it, do you think that a 240w brushless motor will work good for this plane?

  • @lancealbanese i went into the website but i dont find it, can you pleaseeee send me the link? pleaseeee

  • Hi heberorozco.

You cannot put links in a youtube response. Go to: towerhobbiesDOTcom and do a search for this exact term: Dubro Pull-Pull System 2-56.

    Good Luck!

  • OH c'mon!

    Electric Pump?????

    C'mon! use manual!

  • Hi Naturepheonix.

    Why is that?

I have been using an electric pump for over 7 years now. What is the drawback?

    Thanks!

  • @lancealbanese They might break easily right?

    They take batteries right?????

Hand Pump give this traditional feeling to it don't you think so? LIke how planes we're start before XD! At least you don't use electric starter :)

  • Hi Naturepheonix.

Yes they take batteries and they could break, but that is how it is with a LOT of eletrical components these days. Things break in this hobby and you need to be prepared for that.

There is nothing wrong with electric pumps and starters. I use both and have had 7+ years of success and great flying. What it comes down to is personal preference!

    Thanks!

  • @lancealbanese

    You are right :D

  • Hey, I'm looking at getting this plane. How do you think it would run on a GMS .25 nitro engine?

  • Hello.

I think it would do OK with a .25. I always over power my aircraft if I can. The extra weight is usually not problem. The extra power more than compensates for the added weight.

  • @lancealbanese How well does this plane fly as far as stability goes. I finally got mine ordered and i want to know what to expect for a maiden flight. Also if you could post a video of it in flight i would really enjoy it.

    Thanks

  • What company makes this plane thats what im trying to figure out.

  • Hello.

I got this plane from NitroPlanes . com

A lot of their planes are usually out of stock though so good luck!

  • whats the song

  • Hi Bassman499.

I always give credit to the song artist at the end of my videos.

It's the Kaiser Chiefs - Ruby

  • that plane wants to move the block

  • Yeah, that little .35 engine was really powerful.

  • hey does it got to be a sertin temp outside when u break in nitro engins?

  • Hi RcMasta90.

I am not sure if the temperature really matters that much but I could be wrong.

I have broken-in engines in summer and the dead of winter and I have noticed no difference in the performance.

  • Beautiful Plane there Mate!

  • Seems kinda small doesnt it?

I mean a 40 trainer is bigger than that!

  • lol thats because thats a 25! lol

  • Yeah, but I wanted to see what it was like to fly a very small and light airplane.

It taught me a lot about handling in the wind. Plus if I crashed it, I wouldn't be out that much.

    I have the following planes:

    .46 trainer, .61 Piper Cub, .61 4-stroke Ultra Sport 40, a .65 yak 54 and a 4-stroke .91 sized Extra 330.

    50cc Here I Come!

  • Nice little plane never used to like small plane until I got a vertigo with a .15 wow. And a BAE hawk with a 25 goes like a missle. I've just run in a Leo 37 for it serious power for a 25 crankcase turning a 8x8 what size of prop are you running and what does your plane weigh.

  • Hi Oakleymac1.

I am running a 10x7 prop on this plane.

The weight of the plane without fuel is: 3lbs 9oz.

    Thanks!

    -L

  • what rpm are you getting I tried my leo 37 and it goes well flat out but throttling is not great even with a smaller carb 7mm but still getting 15,900 rpm with apc 8x8 and 10% fuel.

  • Hi Oakleymac1.

I am not sure what I was getting. I have sold this plane.

    Thanks!

    -L

  • go Gas 50cc or bigger OR go home

  • Well considering the average cost on a 50cc is $2000 plus but defiantly go bigger than this!

  • Oh I am!

    -L

  • TRYHARD

  • I'll try HARDER!

    -L

  • I am getting there.

    You have to learn somewhere.

    I just bought a Futaba 12FGA transmitter.

I am now in the market for a Desert Aircraft 50CC engine and a good quality 50cc plane.

I need to sell my 2 - .61's size planes to get the money for this new project.

    Thanks!

    -L

  • are you still trying to sell that .61 im in the market

  • Hi RealfasatRC.

Yes, I am looking to sell my Ultra Sport 40 with an OS .61FS engine. I also have a spare engine, same thing (OS .61 FS).

I will sell it all, RTF for $400. (No transmitter)

Let me know if you're interested and we can talk.

  • is that including shipping??just e-mail me

  • I cannot seem to find your email anywhere.

I didn't think about shipping, I was in a craigslist mindset.

I also have another offer for you to think about.

I have a Futaba 7CAP radio that is already setup for this plane. Would you be interested in that? I have extra receivers and crystals for it. It is on channel 50.

    Let me know.

    Thanks!

    -L

  • im looking for a ultra

  • i was wondering as i watched this video......how much would it hurt if you got your fingers stuck in the prop at idle

  • That's the first time I've ever seen an engine turned over counter-clockwise. Ever.

  • Hi Silverx10.

Really? Every plane that I have ever encountered starts this exact same way.

Otherwise the engine will start backwards and the prop will push air forwards.

    Take Care!

    -L

  • welcome to the real world of 2 stroke nitros, where they all spin counter clock...

  • That and the 32sx is one of the nicer sounding small engines, I have one on my Sig Ultimate 10-300, had it on the test stand for at least 30 min before installing it.

  • Hi ohm1163058.

I do like the 32SX. It runs and sounds great!

    -L

  • Yeah, but I can fly all day on 4.8 volts and NITRO!

    -Lance

  • i'd put an eflite power 32 motor in there... smaller nitro engines are really annoying in my opinion

  • can u give a link to where u purchased that nitro plane.? thanx

  • Hi Jeramii21.

I got the plane from NitroPlanesDOTcom.

Here is a link, you will have to retype it in your browser because YouTube blocks links:

    nitroplanesDOTcom/newyak543dfu.html

It looks like it's sold out right now.

    Thanks.

    -L

  • LOL thanx i just saw the website.. but what im looking for is a RTF nitro engine plane(s)?

  • cool plane

  • Thanks!

    -L

  • I also just bought one of these planes. There doesn't seem to be a throttle servo mount when going nitro? Do you go with the recommended CG? What size thank did you run? You plane flys greate! Can't wait for my maiden!

  • Hi Towertsk.

I made a platform just behind the rudder servo. I glued it between the fuselage ribs. I am using it for the receiver and throttle servo.

    I'm using a 6 OZ tank w/ a slanted face.

I did maintain my CG by mounting a heavier battery pack as far back as I could.

I am going to be making a video of a repair that I just finished on this plane.

I will also make a video of my setup so you can see what I did.

Keep an eye on this page. I'll post a video response.

    Thanks!

    -L

  • hey man. i just bought that same kit yesterday. but i can't seem to find the rite size engine. where did you get yours?

    thanks for your time.

    -chris

  • Hi cmorgan3335.

I went with an OS .32SX from towerhobbiesDOTcom.

This engine is now discontinued. I would recommend an OS .35AX. It should fit in the supplied nitro mount.

Reinforce the elevator joiner and the landing gear mount. The elevator joiner is the thin piece of wood connecting the 2 elevator halves.

Half of the elevator ripped off on a fast grassy landing once.

I have broken the landing gear mount twice now.

I hope to have a video of the repairs on YouTube soon.

    Good Luck!

    -L

  • have fun getting that stain off your driveway. (this is why the kit comes in a box so youcan flaten it and do engine break-in on it). anyway I like the kit. love to see it fly.

  • Hi fspacerc1.

I am not sure what you are talking about. The stain was gone after the next rain.

The stains that are further back are from a cars leaky oil pan. Now those stains are a pain to get out!

I have 2 clips of this plane flying, just check out my channel.

    Thanks!

  • where the flight

  • I flew this plane the next weekend.

    -L

  • invest in an electric starter, no hassle , and wont hurt your prop, but cool, looks good

  • I have one. You can see it at :13 seconds in my flight kit. I actually had to use it to get it started that last time. I didn't get any video of me using it though.

    Thanks!

  • Lance, you are such a nerd. At least you're a cute nerd, though. ;^)
