The paint was actually something I found at a hobby shop. they have a bunch of different ones that give off all types of antique looks. then I clear coated it so it would shine:)
I have a 2600 - 6 switch console. I have not used it in 5 years, but it used to work fine. Now it will not work...fuzzy screen only, no black screen. Not sure if it is the console or the power adapter. I tried using a Universal Power adapter, but I got the same thing. Can you help? PLEASE??

@gamermuzz yeah im subscribed to both and your welcome btw how much would you charge for a modded nintendo 64? i would seriously buy one from you plus the shipping cost
I'm actually building my own case for the Atari CX-2600 A (fourswitcher woody), and i want to change out the current switches to buttons, but i'm not sure what fits.. I know the original switches are DPDT ones but no more than that.
Could you please tell me how you went on doing it? (Pm or something) Maybe some info on the knows you used.
How do you get your hands on a 2600 now adays? Ebay and the normal methods?

@viewtifultony
Better than it was when I started. Took a system that didn't work and was beyond restoration and made it new again.

why would you do that to a heavy sixer
ShadowSilhouette 2 years ago
because the system was pretty much irreparably damaged. I could not restore it so I modded it to keep it alive.
gamermuzz 2 years ago
that model isn't a heavy sixer
iLikeRetroGames 2 years ago
it was a 6 switch system originally.

The 6 switch made in hong kong (Light sixer)

ah, well you just taught me something then:) I didn't know one from the other. How are they different?

Heavy sixer was made in Sunnyvale, CA in 1977. The other "Light sixers" were made in hong kong starting in 1978.
Heavy sixers are indeed heavier and have thicker casing.

I should have shown what it looked like in the beginning. it was totally trashed. the switches didnt work either.
thats why I did it. Had the system been in good condition originally, I wouldn't have altered it:)
