  • BEST TAG EVER!!

    DeRosa is a genius!!

  • I nearly spit the coffee out of my mouth when I read The Weebus's comment.

  • He has to balance Joe's insanely supported foward tone. lol loud bastard

  • Roger is a great tenor for Keepsake. Everyone shits on him. You can barely hear him, but that is the job of a good tenor. Just gives a little on top. HIs pin for instance on the tag is so quiet, but when the other three come back in, it fits perfectly. Cant argue with a whistling overtone like that

  • Thats what I LOVE about keepsake. They take the volume down a few notches compared to most notches, but bring up the energy for a unique flow of music. Now, this could be interpreted as covering weakness, but thats whats amazing about them. They keep it all somewhat at that level until the end, then you think . . . HOLY MOTHER OF %$#&@!!!!

  • WHOOPS. What I meant to say was "They take the volume down a few notches compared to most QUARTETS." Haha, my apologies.

  • Clean.

  • does the tenor have the third in the last chord? I can barely hear him!

  • yep, and deRosa on the high root

  • Roger seems to get drowned out on every single tag when i listen to keepsake...they seem content ending their songs on a very powerful dominant interval :P I wonder what they would have sounded like if, let's say, they threw in Tim Waurick or Lester Rector for example..

  • I think they would sound like crap, Roger was in the group for this reason: to make the quartet sound amazing!!!

    and he did.

And ive heard him blow a post at full chest voice louder than Joe and Tony. This song did not require a "loud" tenor posting. Silence is a musical note in some cases...here was one of them. Roger is a beast, as is/was Gary for platinum

  • Im not the biggest fan of Keepsakes tenor...at least in the post,he's perfect on just blending and singing his part...but he's too quiet to post.

  • Totally agree. Don't know what it is... perhaps an injury? He seems strong musically and I imagine he'd have taken voice lessons at some point.

  • yeah but I think he meant to do that....at the end of the tag he was the loudest one in the room, he bellied up and blew it hard....and loud. I love his voice.

  • Don - 1

    Joe - 5

Tony - 8 (if I can pick his voice out correctly)

Where's Roger in the last chord? I can't even tell if there's a third in there.

  • It is the third. Technically the 10th. (Meaning right above tony)

  • imo he gives the 10% he is supposed to, while the other 3 create his note. Great tenor FOR THIS QUARTET!

  • I would give up sex for a month to be Don in that tag.

  • That's very funny!

  • Man, this is so good, wow, goose bumps

  • oh hell yea what a tag
