With all due respect, that isn't socialism, that's idealism. Our gov't isn't supposed to 'give' rights - they don't belong to them to begin with. Another important point is that homes and healthcare come from the labor of people. To say someone else's labor is your right is slavery. Banks overcharge on loans? Don't borrow. Everyone does have the right to a home - provided you build, buy, or are given one. I don't mean to condescend, but please learn the distinction between rights and wishes.
