From what little I can remember of JTR Scheider's character Martin Brody from Jaws was supposed to have died of a heart attack after seeing a great white shark in the surf or something and his wife carried on the good fight after some of her children were killed by the same shark or something. God that film hurt.

The roaring is a dinosaur growl first used in Steven Spielberg's first big television movie (I'm not sure if it was ever a theater release) "Duel" he used it in the end of the movie when the truck drives off the cliff and when it hits the bottom a huge cloud of dust rolls up and the end of the truck rises out of it rolling and falls and in that scene he edited in that growl. And it was such a perfect scene because they only had one chance to pull it off! So that's the history of the growl.
