The song is, I think by Gene Chandler who also sang 'The Duke of Earl'. Innocence lost and a waste of a wonderful talent who died too soon.

It came from the film "J'eanne d'arc" by Otto Preminger, not long before "Bonjour tristesse" (1958). "À bout de souffle" ("breathless") came after "Bonjour tristesse" with that "Tomboy" Jranne d'arc hairdo.

The Women was a true artist/Humanitarian. She sacrificed her career for opressed people. I have a few words to describe her. GUTS and HONESTY.
I am not gonna compare her to todays actors, but she is a Classy Beautiful Women, who never was truely recognized for her contributions.
