Why does it matter how fast you throw? A fast ball doesn't make a good ball. All you guys down there who think you're tough shit by throwing a fast ball, it doesn't make you a good bowler. It's all about how you're angling to the pocket, your rev rate, you're control, your consistency, etc. I throw about 18-20mph, and I'm 15. What does that mean about my skill? Not a thing.

I've been bowling for 12 years and don't throw the ball very hard. (that is why I don't average 300) I do assure you however, that I am not lying, and I did average 206 in my last Sport league, which was last year. I probably could average 215 by now. I have been bowling 10 years longer than you, and I am better than you. I honestly cannot figure out why you cannot accept that fact.

P.S. I honestly cannot believe you average 241 on a house condition. Prove it.

@i3enthebowlerkid You throw the ball twice as hard as I do. Accuracy matters, but ball speed can be the difference between a strike and a ringing 10 pin. I would love to come kick your ass, but I live in San Diego, with a great house by the beach. Do you live in NYC? Horribly cramped place. In any case, pro bowlers that average 230 on Sport can strike virtually at will on house oil. I played against Pete Weber once while he was here for a tournament. 300-237. It is not impossible.

I will remind you that some people are versatile enough to bowl on several different patterns and average a nice 210 (like myself). There are other people that can strike at their home center, and get 900s, but cannot bowl for shit anywhere else. R. Mushare has 3 900s. He can't bowl for shit on the PBA tour though.

At age 15 I went into a tournament starting off with a 246, 269, and 233. Why do these kids keep posting their age and highest game like they are so good for their age? Really anybody can bowl a 250+ game due to the amount of technology that is taking over the sport there is less "skill" required. Now if you think your good bowl 30 games in a day on a different lane every time and average 220.
