Yes and no. Its long like phone book long. But much like Dune, lol what they covered in the movie is like the first quarter of the book. I enjoyed, and you really get to see inside the Psychlos and why they are the way they are. If you like reading go for it if your not too much into it well you might still enjoy it.

The reason why they didn't know anything about them was because they conquered the humans in like 5 seconds.... but aside from that they never had the humans as slaves in the book. Thats why alot of points in this movie are plotholed

It's "Independence Day" if the aliens had won, lined with random super-smart alien devices to attempt further the plot, anti-capitalist/goverment propaganda, science and mathmatics to make even a college professor's head spin, characters dying like flies unexpectedly, the main villains destroyed only 400 pages in, and what seems to be a "Scientology Bible". ...But, it's not "horrible". ...Completely...

Jesus...This reminds me of Spoony's review of Dungeon Master (aka. Rage War). The antagonist basically GIVES the hero access to the power to defeat him and yeah, of course the bad guy gets his ass handed to him at the end. Ugh...Such terrible, predictable and lazy writing to add a such plot conveinence to a story. L. Ron most definitely got rich more with founding a religion based off his fictional stories, than the actual stories themselves.
