  • Of the 3 G1's that Cape Blanco won, I felt like this field was the softest of the 3. That said, Dean's Kitten was ultra-game on the day and ran a fantastic race in his own right. But I think it's speaks enormous volumes as to the kind of heart and determination of Cape Blanco still winning the race when it was determined after the race was over that he ran the stretch run of this race with a slab fracture of one of his front legs. Takes a horse with guts and intestinal fortitude to do that.

  • He does not deserve the Award;he has not beaten anything "world class"in these three although Gio Ponti is admirable by virtue of his consistency at this level.Yanks are notoriously bad losers so that will hinder his chance too.Remember the Ryder Cup when yanks tried to distract the Europeans?? Or that debacle in New York when Lennox Lewis was robbed of his heavyweight belt until the Honorable Mayor of NY stepped in and called the judges a disgrace? I think Uncle Mo'll win if he wins BC Classic
