I have been searching for this for a long time. Thank-You so much for your generosity, in sharing. I grew up in the deep south during the summers of my childhood during this time. I remember the seperate bathrooms, and water fountains. Since I was in Maryland during the rest of the year, I found this to be confusing and sorrowful, even though I was a privaledged little white girl.My parents embraced change in Alabama, while their parents were outraged, In 2 generations, the change was effected!

@presenthelp The only restrictions on the Pilot episode and a couple of others are placed on them by YouTube who restricts their use because of music or other infringement in the episode itself. I don't control that. All I do is upload them. Enjoy!

@bookdear As you will eventually see, these are transfer of VHS tapes collected from several different broadcasts. Enjoy the series, I know I do!

This series tackled what many would say a delicate issue with grit, grace, and gradually opened the door for dialogue between viewers as well as critics. Mainstream television series throughout the four prominent television broadcasting stations (CBS, NBC, ABC,FOX) tend to present regurgitated story-lines and shy away from period pieces as of recently. I simply want to take the time to thank you for uploading this pilot and the four other introductory episodes as well. Thanks!
