The old shows had better music, that is untill they had to pay for it. The music bed. Food Network removed was a score from the movie Glory. it hits when the chefs are shown and the start of the show. That score can be heard on the Lobster battle.

Could anyone tell me which battle the Iron Chef Italian has done? I haven't seen him yet in any episode and I am curious how he is as an Iron chef.

Also, does anyone else know why he's never introduced with the others? Was he created later on or something? It's something I never knew and I am so very curious about!

If memory serves me right, Kobe wasn't appointed Iron Chef until 1997, when he battled Masahiko Hagiwara in Battle Short Pasta. Since archo89 has only uploaded to about 1996, it makes sense that he hasn't yet appeared on Youtube.

It was a rights issue, actually. Either Food Network or Fuji TV lost the rights to the background music (if they ever had them in the first place) and had to replace it. Apparently they couldn't replace the music without losing Kaga's introduction.
