Aww man! I totally forgot about this game! It was one of my first NES games I got... along with Duck Hunt, Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros., Excitebike, Gumshoe and Hogan's Alley for Christmas in '89! The biggest and best Christmas I ever had! I loved making my own stages in this game... my brother and I used to compete to make the hardest level and see how long it would take my dad to complete it! SOOO FUN! Those were the days... an entire family setting, playing great games!
that was my christmas of 91. i got wrecking crew, top gun, ninja turtles, red baron, kung fun, excitebike, gradius, zelda 2, god damn i cant remember lol. but it was insanely awesome
Phase 5 waz alwayz my FAVORITE!! : D My Dad also loved this game!! I'm sure if I buy it somewhere we can still spend HOURS playing it like we did way back when.
It's so weird. I first saw the box for this game on display through the video store window in the backseat of my mother's car while she was returning some videos. Just by seeing the box through the window I, for some reason, fell in love with the game. I said to my mom,"I gotta play that game!" I have never played it before but I couldn't quit thinking about that game for some reason!
A year later when the video store was going out of business. The store was selling selling all the movies and all the video games. I was picking some out but didn't see Wrecking Crew. The lady who owned it said,"Someone rented it and they haven't returned it! They are overdue! We'll probably never see it again." I was disappointed.
Sure enough a week later I get a phone call from her at the video store telling me it was there. I rushed up there on my bike and she gave me the game. No charge! She said, "You rented this game all the time. I know you love it! So here. It's yours!" I thanked her!
I used to play this when I was about 4! This is the best game! I'm so sad I don't have a NES anymore... I wonder if i can still get one from somewhere... Thankyou for putting this up! its great to see other people still think its good too. kudos

It wasn't until two months later we returned to that video store and I rented it. My intuition was right! I loved it!

An the graphics on the Virtual Console is not getting me sick!
Why did it different?
It don't even look like the real game.

This game looks pretty cool.
I'm thinking about downloading it from the Wii's Virtual Console, and I wanted to get a sense of the gameplay.

Cool, I dunno why but something about mario's nature, a hammer, and the ability the destroy stuff seems like the perfect game
