I think that Linda was probably fun and hung out with Elvis' friends more than others he dated . I don't believe that she was the" best "one for him though and obviously he didn't think so . I think that Elvis was just divorcing and wasn't ready for marriage at that time.Linda seemed more like a buddy, someone to pal around with, fun,outgoing,that is why she ended up on Hee Haw.That relationship was okay for a little while then he wanted to date others with Linda even going along on some of those dates. I think it's wrong to put down one person over another. Timing can be everything, those women came into his life at their appointed time. Thats just the way life is for some, and we should be thankful for these people.

I saw Elvis on a Supermarket parking lot yesterday and he said it's not true. He said Linda was not even second best. If she was caring she wouldn't leave somebody she's supposed to love when he has drug problems. He also said she would have left him even earlier, if he was a carpenter. I don't know anything about it, that's just what he told me.

I don't care about her age, but you need to use proven fact--not gossip! Gossip says Elvis was with Ann Margret up until he was either engaged or married to Priscilla, but since it is gossip, I don't use it even though I think it may be true. I do NOT think the Cybill story is true because she was not one to protect his image.

After he picked Linda, she was with Elvis 24/7 the first year together, and so knows for certain he was faithful that first year. Later there were other girls, & at one point Linda was replaced by Sheila Ryan who he more had the hots for, but was with a couple years. Sheila complained Elvis wanted to do it TOO MUCH!

The thing that everybody brags on including Linda is how she helped him, but I think the way she babied him was the problem because it just fed any existing problems he had. This kind of mothering can also kill the romance. Great tribute-with one correction-in the song the girl has BLUE EYES. Linda's eyes were brown. Linda herself pointed out that Elvis' mother had told him to never become involved with a blue eyed woman,and as Linda pointed out-her eyes were brown and Priscilla's were blue.
Since I'm not "them" I can not say who "really" loved Elvis more. As Elvis said himself "Never judge a man less you've walked a mile in his shoes"

agreed. She was with him 24/7 for 4 and a half years. She loved him and saved his life many times. She couldn't take it anymore because he did so many drugs and was high all the time. She left him 8 months before he died.

i agree..elvis was just coming off of divorcing Priscilla so was probably vulnerable and needed someone more at the time they first met. Saw her on hee haw and she was probably fun like one of the guys. I think that Elvis was just divorcing and wasn't ready for marriage at that time.Linda seemed more like a buddy, someone to pal around with, fun,outgoing,that is why she ended up on Hee Haw.That relationship was okay for a little while then he wanted to date others with Linda even going along on some of those dates. That would have bothered me and I would have stepped aside then.Linda also dated Elvis' key boardest. ouch! His father Vernon stated that he thought Linda kind of suffocated Elvis.

obviously he got over her and fast. everyone talks about how their relationship was more buddy after the first year. where was she the year he dated sheila ryan. ?those are the facts. ginger alden just hasn't promoted herself or written her story so we dont' know her side but he must have loved her very much and vise versa. she had nothing to gain by loosing him and I am sure she took care of him unlike many in the "group" around him. just too bad he didn't meet her sooner, I think.

Not 5 years by any means and he even bought her a home to get her out of Graceland. His stepbrother stated even.I am sure that Ginger loved Elvis and never saw any boyfriend. How ridiculous. Why would anyone risk that, especially when they were engaged . He wanted the world to know her that is why he introduced her at his last concert on television.Linda dated right in front of Elvis his own keyboard player. We just don't hear from Ginger like Linda but I think she really cared for him.

I meant she lived with Elvis and knew him 100% more than anyone else! She infact left a lot of work for Linda to do when Elvis was in such problems...Kunda served him well and do you know Hurt was sung for Linda not Pricilla as most think? He was very happy with Linda but caught her later with one of his close associates flirting and who knows what else but then he dumped her. Elvis left her for Ginger...Whom he also found out later was seeing an ex!! By then Elvis was bored!

Pricilla knew Elvis inside out but calcalulation was the name of the game. Elvis makes women dye their hair to look like someone else. Although when Priscilla did it, he instructed her to change it BACK, it was not his idea. It was Priscilla being insecure and young and trying to keep him in the relationship. Also - she is younger than Priscilla so of course she looks like she's aging better.

NYCstarlett - Linda Thompson went on to become very successful in the entertainment industry without the need of the Presley name, unlike Priscilla. Just shows she had/has real talent. Linda was tall like a model (and beautiful) ... Priscilla was short, dumpy and squatty looking with VERY big hips. Overall, Linda Thompson was/is far sexier than Priscilla Presley. Priscilla just had a very pretty face at ONE time ... not anymore. Now,she looks like an alien freak! Plus, Linda is a southerner.

Linda was the best for him. So sweet and caring. She left because of the drug use and irrational things that Elvis did. He almost accidentally shot her in Vegas(playing around with his guns again)

I saw Elvis on a Supermarket parking lot yesterday and he said it's not true. He said Linda was not even second best. If she was caring she wouldn't leave somebody she's supposed to love when he has drug problems. He also said she would have left him even earlier, if he was a carpenter. I don't know anything about it, that's just what he told me.
