  • I got one question. Was the gold stamped Bible supposed to actually be stamped, ie imprinted like yours, just with gold lettering? Just got mine in and it's just the standard spine with the gold print. Actually, the print is much worse than that of my hand size Scofiled, in terms of sharpness and legibility. On their website, the spine does indeed look stamped.

  • @aoshia1 Unfortuantely from what I've been hearing, the dry stamped covers are of much higher quality than the gold lettered ones. A friend of mine got one of the gold "stamped" ones and it was not stamped but printed on the spine. I imagine this was a cost saving measure..............I would suggest a refund if you're not happy with it

  • @eggmanmania2001

Just got off the phone with LCBP to hopefully resolve this issue. No go. It's either get a refund, or keep the Bible. So, for those buying your Anniversary edition late, like me, you will not be getting a gold stamped Bible, but a standard spine with lower quality gold lettering. It seems they are going to list it as stamped as well. A little disappointing but that hasn't kept me from using this Bible extensively since I've received it. God Bless.

  • page 416 has a mis-print down the entire right side of the page. I had to return my two gold stamped 400th anniv editions. The mistake impacted all of the LCBP 1611 bibles printed during this limited priniting. The bible is beautiful though. However, I could not live with the printing issue. I'll wait to get two new ones now that they are reprinting the whole series.

  • Does this bible include the Apocrypha like the original 1611?

  • @MicahDillon93 No it doesn't

  • @eggmanmania2001 O'k thank you! I ordered the mid-sized scofield last week and it will be here today. I can't wait I am happy you put up these videos or I might not have ever bought one. Thanks again!

  • @MicahDillon93 It doesn't contain the printing errors and misspellings in the original 1611 either. The Apocrypha, while not appearing in their original position among the books of the old testament but gathered in between the old and new testaments, was deleted from the KJV with in 40 years of its first publication.

  • @okbookguy Yes I new this already :)

  • @MicahDillon93 I bought a 400th anniversary Bible with the Apocrypha, sadly it is the not the high quality piece of work seen in this video. Although it is very similar to the original KJB, my copy seems to lack one or two of the original illustrations. Most are there and all the text is there, but a couple illustrations in the original are not included, AFAICT. Anyway, if you must have a 400th anniversary ed. with the Apocrypha, they're out there.

  • @LemonSaucy Thats too bad about your bible, I don't need a 400th edition with the apocrypha. I already have copies of the apocrypha by itself. I was just inquiring if this particular version included it or not.

  • a superb Bible...God bless you and congrats on the awesome purchase. May the Holy Spirit lead you in study

  • I bought the dry stamped 400th anniversary edition thanks to your video. Now I see they are selling gold stamped ones as well. Guess I'll have to get me one of those also.

  • LCPB there bibles are truly blessed. When I read out of them its so much more different then reading out other bibles.

I love the natural grain vs the ironed. I wish they still sell the other bibles in natural grain. This is probably the only natural grainish type of bible they have left.

  • Got mine today here in the UK, I wish people were as dedicated to perfection as in the USA! What a beautiful bible, I've never seen such beauty, thank you Jesus and God bless LCBP and America and of course all you brothers in Christ:-))

  • If you use oil or Petroleum Jelly on the cover, take care to not use too much.

For if you saturate it, the problem can occur that you will end up with it on your fingers anytime you pick up the Bible which leads to getting the oil (etc.) on your fingers and then accidently transferring it onto the precious pages within.

  • Hi: We order this Bible, and other Bibles from this Publishers and are very happy

    with them!!

    TKS: Pastor David Skakun

  • @teachmedailyGod They do ship to Australia, I do not know what it will cost though. The 400th Anniversary Edition only comes in one size, though it is advertized in both the Large and Midsize page.......It is a Midsize Bible

  • I ordered one of these bibles. How do I take care of the lambskin?

  • @badjuijui The best way to take care of any leather is to allow the oil from your hands to penetrate and soften it (in other words use it)..........however, if like me, you have more than one leather bible, I would suggest using Maguire's leather cleaner/conditioner once a year or so........I've also used Pertoleum Jelly, it's cheaper and works really well

  • @eggmanmania2001 thanks for the pointers

  • Looks awesome!! Great review once again!! I like the way you can add your own references!! God bless.

  • What I would have preferred was either a) use a modern font with all the original column references, or b) an exact replica of the original like the zondervan hardback 400th edition. Disappointed (but can't please everyone like you said!)

  • Is there any difference in the text? I know the original 1611 had a different font, but since they fixed that on this edition, what's the difference?

  • Is it wrong to covet the word of God, when you already have "too many" KJV Bibles?

Why did you have to post this video brother Derek? :)

Man.....now I have to go out and get one!
