  • I have this on dvd but I enjoyed watching it here. A great performance from a great man. Cheer Peter

  • More fans should view this........... it's a great performance!

  • @twosheds1313 i agree with you my friend. thanks for watching..

  • @im4out I had this in my favourites sometime ago and then it seemed to get removed . Thanks for putting it back... You can see he knew it was good by the little "Nailed it " jump leaving the stage.

  • Saw him in recent years, after loss,

& he still had it, strong performance.

he had a solid support in his long time MD.

    John Martyn (RIP)

  • Thanks for putting that up. I made the guitar he's playing in the video, and around then I spent a lot of time with John - where was that filmed, was it Fife Aid in the late 1980s by any chance? Anybody know?

John, a beautiful, angry, mad, bad man. Johnny Too Bad - RIP you old bast*rd. Wouldn't have missed knowing you.

  • wow ..you made that guitar awesome.....filmed in188..charity concert..st andrews scotland.......john performed two songs this one and lookin ' on which you can find here on you tube.......might put it up myself.......john once said he turned his back on all these sitting on toadstools and smoking weed people ha ha ha only john could say that ..at that time...thank you for watching..

  • Bloody hell - I just noticed myself in the background: thin bloke, white shirt and beard hanging around at the right hand side of the sound desk. The guy with long dark hair, at the left of the desk, was Kenny McDonald, John's sound man and my good friend - he died a few years ago. That's done my head in somewhat, frankly. Yes, Fife Aid was the gig. Do you know where I can get a high quality copy of the video?

  • @thelittlestraccoon2 Hey, just seen this comment. Kenny was my cousin. I kinda idolised him (he was two years older than me) It's so good to see him here xxx

  • ha ha ha ..ok.. no punching......thank you for watching......

  • Nice wee tribute. Amazing guitar playing the man had; pity to go so young. Yes, as you say, 4out, if he sees god, lets hope he doesn't punch him/her ! Ah them Scot /English! Tough lot ; )

PS: don't punch Jerry either, John!
