This song touches me so much; it commemorates the 23 children who died in a tragic fire incident that same year. Even now, their lyrics amaze me for their deep reflections on the problems of society & the events at the time. Their songs reflect the conflicts, anger, & problems that teens were feeling, and their happier songs gave such hope & encouragement. Their ability to connect w/ their fans is why they're so legendary & have deeply touched the hearts of many fans, even to this day.

I am of the "previous" generation of the K-pop wave, the era where H.O.T were still very popular (I'm 28 now). and I am a non-Korean btw.

sometimes I do think that the "current" generation of K-pop wave/audience ie: with super-groups like Super Junior, SNSD, etc, they would still unfortunately & sadly miss what ORIGINAL, & 'soulful' K-pop really is, and that is: the songs/music composed by H.O.T !

In case you guys didn't notice, this is the last performance of H.O.T.'s '99 concert. What's touching and the reason all the fans were crying so hard was that Hee Jun injured himself badly earlier while doing his solo performance, Soul. He didn't want to go to the hospital eventhough the pain was killing him. You can see that he couldn't dance at all. He wanted to finish the concert with the other members, and staying strong as the leader of the group. That's what make me love him more and more.

earlier in the concert, Heejun fell off a platform during his solo performance, and had to be taken to the hospital. He insisted on coming back for the final performance (which was this) even though he really should have stayed in the hospital. :( You can see that he doesn't move very well during the dance parts.

Yeah... I have this concert. It was raining that night and during his solo performance he slipped on stage and hurt his back. The rest of the H.O.T members carried out the rest of the show unsure of his condition and I think one of them started crying too. But this was the last song I think so Hee Jun came out and he's just yeah.. there.

actually it was heejun on the ground at the end of the song... I lived there for a few years and have the video of the concert and found out that heejun was actually sick when they did this concert and had to be rushed to the emergency room afterwards... It was a great concert tho...
