  • wow you talk soooooooooo fast!!!!

  • i question the mental state of the people who made this movie.cause somethings in it were seriously disturbing

  • @ohhowsplendid they only made the movie from the graphic novel

  • @ohhowsplendid no offence but if you think this is disturbing you need to get out more

  • @ohhowsplendid No they weren't. Go watch Ichi the Killer, Dead Alive and Cannibal Holocaust.

  • @ohhowsplendid If you think that this movie was disturbing then you live a very sheltered life and have a lot to experience in the world. I've experience things in real life that are infinitely more disturbing than any film I've seen, and I've seen movies that make the Watchmen look like Sesame Street. You need a little bit of exposure in your life so you don't get so shocked at something so.. not shocking.

  • @xilix little rorscach biting that kids cheek off kinda ruined it for me

  • @ohhowsplendid ear*

  • @xilix I agree with you completely I've seen things in my 16 years of life that most people should never see, if anything watchmen feels like home if not safer.

  • @xilix They should watch Enter the Void-- now thats a disturbing movie

  • what is the music from first few seconds of this clip ?

    thanks

  • omg they creat a real city omg

  • Does the UK have a 'Comic Con'?

  • @mooseasaurusrex no :(

  • ...it appears Satan loves this video.

  • lol this guy looks like a fat version of the comedian lol

  • the smiley on the guys tshirt in the beginning isnt in the right angle...^^

  • what do they do with the set after the fact

  • @hotrods340s

A series of termites, wasps and red ants are brought in to break down the wooden parts, and industrial strength rust-mites remove the metal.

The plastic is taken away by Mancunian entrepreneurs who sell it on to the Noxious Fumes Company ltd, which is then used by various members of the lower classes as a kind of internal fuel to power their northern souls.

As for the rest...that remains a secret, closely guarded by the Hollywood bigwigs and members of the Illuminati and Homebase.

  • I so love the direction on this movie, this is really one underrated jewel

  • amazing movie. stunning effects and precise acting. 5/5 :D

  • what's the song in the beginning?

  • watchmen is a great underrated movie..good story and amazing visuals.

  • The Comedian/Jeffery Dean Morgan was in Die Hard 4 as a henchman.

  • the behind the scenes feature is actually better than the film itself

  • I really doubt that, Benarddor. D.R.

  • To you, perhaps. For me, and for a whole bunch of people, this was not only one of the best movies of the year, but also one of the greatest graphic novel adaptations of all time. D.R.

  • all graphic novels are overated. watchmen was visually stunning, roar-shack (i know i spelled his name wrong) was great, but the rest of the film wreaked of musky balls.

  • And happilly, that's only your opinion =). D.R.

  • o.k. you win

  • @benarddor the graphic novel's not overrated. The movie is not the graphic novel.

  • @derpenstein for the amount of money hollywood invest, yes in my opinion, comic book films are grossly overrated.

  • benarddor is right, lol

  • They do all this and still fuck up the ending

  • You look like the comedian :)

  • this is the most suffisticated, mature comic super-heroe movie ever made. this movie is a pace setter, no doubt. the one is an oscar class film. wow.

  • do you think it might've been because the frikin comic was targeted at the mature? idiot. By the way. the movie strayed greatly from the book and even the creator Alan Moore said he hated it

  • ... ur an idiot, it was almost exactly like the book, i read the book, and watched the movie, the movie did what it could while not making it 7 hours long

  • ok how about this, i rewrote harry potter. Voldemort is now john mccain. make sense? good.

  • ... what?

  • You must have the mind of a 15 year old.

  • well I rather have the mind of a 15 year old then some 80 year old LOL

  • Thanks for proving my point cane.

  • Hey TheCaneCorso, you suck. The reason you didn't like this movie is because it made you think, but apparently your to stupid to think.

  • oh yeah!! well this movie sucks more then your fat ass

  • Jesus Christ, there's another person who isn't sucking Zack Snyder's cock.

Friends tell me "You just don't get Watchmen, if's philosofical!" There's nothing to "get". The "deep" meanings and symbolism are so obvious. No wonder ADD-addled fanbois love the comic so much, they actually think they're reading something deep. Shakespeare is fucking deep, Watchmen is just thought provoking.

  • man what ever listen please leave Jesus out of this because he can careless about movies tv and so forth plus I dont care because Im to grown now you must be like 4 or 5 anytime you keep trying to get me to care about this bull shit movie which ill never will bye

  • Apparently you can't read, let alone read sarcasm. I was agreeing with you numbnuts :)

  • LOL okay Im sorry LOL Im just so upset and sick of all these cheap flicks thats tring to get you quick LOL feel me

  • Jesus doesn't like you. He likes grammer, though.

  • Comment removed

  • Shakepease... fucking deep? Please.

  • Lol, its what the comedian did

  • yes, thank you for posting this!

So if my understanding is right, the streets were built indoors?

  • thanks for posting this!

  • how much the movie cost ?

  • regular DVD: $15

    director's cut: $23

    blue ray director's cut: $26

this is at target, i'm not sure about other stores.

  • thanks m8

  • thanks for that im getting the Director's cut anyways but i was wondering about the price

  • you could just get the torrent and watch the movie in dvd quality for free....

  • "Free" is too nice for this film, the studio should be paying me to watch this turd.

  • Then don't watch it, and stop whining.

  • movie is very good 91% exactly like the graphic novel

  • opinions? i havent seen the movie but ive read the book and loved it. Does the movie live up to the book?

  • The movie can never be as good as the

book its based off of but people who didnt read the book

didnt get the movie at all.

  • Thanks for uploading :)

  • Im 13 an so am not aloud to watch the watchmen in the cinema should I get it on dvd when it comes out and is it good?

  • I suggest you should watch the movie, even though the movie has mild nudity make sure you keep yourself mature when watching film. Just to give you some info the Watchmen DVD comes out at July so just keep waiting

  • When I was 5 I watched R rated gore films. So you're in safe hands with watchmen, lol

  • buy it pirated so simplex like that.

  • i'm younger than you and i saw it. it almost shoes a rape, its shows a pregnet lady get shot, it shows doctor manhattan double teaming the girl by himself( he multiplys himself) and there is some sex. i may have made it sound bad but its not so much. you should be fine. oh yeah, its pretty violent too, including a midget getting killed.

  • ive seen watchmen for one thing, most of what you said are lies, there is a sex scene, but the one you are claiming is there is not there

  • sorry dud but it is( people who havn't seen the movie dont read). there's that one seen in dr.manhattans lab were you see dr manhatans hand all over lori when they're doing it and than all of the sudden you see four hands and than she gets all angry and storms off.

  • Why should I post to 6 other vids if I'm going to die anyway ??

They're just not thinking this shit through anymore.....

  • Dude.. Like.. Have you even give it a tought before you posted this..? Cuz there's no point in sending this shit, if we're going to die anyways -_- ..

    1st sentence: I am dead

    That explains a lot =)

  • u r awesome and the film watchmen is also awesome

  • were can i get a watchmen t shirt?

  • Blunty! What is the name of that song at the beginning of this clip?

  • alex mc dowell

alex de large- malcolm mc dowell

    creepy

  • wtf this was filmed in london

  • What is the name of the song in the beginning? Thank you.

  • real sets and not gay green screens ... a nice surprise ...

  • No.... not gay

    Stupid

  • I disagree. Gay, gayness most supreme.

  • I envy you blunty, I really do.

  • This is really cool.obviously the movie 'll b fantastic after all they have done so much hard work.

  • Looks crazy expensive.

  • INCREIBLE TODO MUY BUENO

  • this is RREEAAALLLYYY COOOOLLLL!! cant wait to watch the movie!! \m/(*_*)\m/

  • Best graphic novel of all time... EVAR ( yes with an 'a')

  • wow this is sooooo cool, ty so much!<3

  • Looked like a real city to me. :) Excellent work!

  • I think they left that out because they would have to explain so much more about adrien and that artist and that whole story. I also liked the idea of framing dr. manhattan better, too. It made more sense.

  • yeah but to answer you question adrian had made the squid thing to die the instant it teleported to new york so that it would kill the people too, so i guess they just get rid of the body

  • The changed ending just did not have the same impact as the comic.

But it's still definitely worth watching none the less.

  • spoiler: well the end was pretty much the same Rorschach still dies which is the main thing and doctor Manhattan still buggers off to different galaxy. the difference between the graphic novel and the movie are minute and they are both bloody fantastic

  • ive seen the movie and your spoiler still had the same effect =/ ....p.s. dont post spoilers

  • So says you lol I preferred this ending to the squid

  • honestly, never saw the ending of the movie coming.

  • Honestly? I liked the graphic novel better. But the movie can still blow your mind. I guess the changes they did are reasonable, because if they hadn't made them the movie would've been 5 hours long. I think the comic's more vague (which is something I absolutely love), but the movie still makes you think because it's not entirely explicit. People should definitely read the novel AND watch the movie.

  • I have to say that after seeing this video, I am really impressed with the production crew on this movie. The sets were superb.

  • I was initially skeptical about this movie, due to the director and how he did '300', but I was proven completely wrong with this movie, its extremely well done and definitely makes you use your brain, nothing is ever 'right' or 'wrong', just shades of grey.

  • jesus, making movies must cost a lot

  • I had extremely low expectations for this (partially due to Snyder directing it) but I have to say, even though I liked the book exactly the way it was, I can out of the theatre relatively satisfied. I thought the changes they made were reasonable, and Jackie Earl Haley and Billy Crudup were incredible. It's still by no means better than the comic, but satisfying none the less.

  • go see this film on the big screen. mindblowing stuff, improves vastly on the graphic novel.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. At least I'll have company hanging next to me when the lynch mob comes. lol jk

  • Whats the name of the intro track..?

  • That is just impressive as hell.

  • The studio needs to make money back on this and preferably a profit so this film needed to work for everyone, not just the people who were obsessed with the book. This is why you hear so many people complain about the movies made from literature. You get the movie that makes the money or you get no movie. If you choose the former, sit back and enjoy. If your choice is the latter, don't see it. This coming from a fan of the book.

  • if you want the comic exactly. read the fucking comic. action movies need fight scenes. this movie was better than i expected.

  • Did you read the graphic novel?

  • I think film-noir styled movies are the future of comic book and graphic novel films.

  • Good movie, awesome comic book. Way better than average Hollywood crap such as Banjamin Button. I liked the change they made with the ending.

  • the film was great, the majority of ppl who dont like it, dont like it because they dont get the film.

  • Disappointed that they spent so much time on a film that turned out to be a Hollywoodized turn-everything-into-a-fight-scene piece of shit. The comic is so much better that it sickens me that this film exists because there are people who will have this as their only view of what WATCHMEN is.

  • lol the amount of fight scenes were miniscule in time compared to the total movie time, which was 2 1/2 hours. Stop whining, it was a good movie, and it doesnt deserve your unfair criticisms.

  • The real WATCHMEN had no fight scenes almost, but that's not the point. It throws off the feel of the entire film. It's not only the fact that the fights were there that made the adaptation bad, but it certainly contributed to it. The film adaptation ran with all the secondary themes of the comic, while leaving out the real themes. Snyder didn't seem to understand WATCHMEN.

  • well give him credit at least, he did his best, i mean he even took almost all the dialogue right out of the comic, and all the transitions were very similar to the comic, while he didnt get the more important stuff, he recreated it in a decent manner

  • The fact that they had Gibbons (the artist) onboard but not Moore (the writer) sums up the way this film turned out pretty nicely. The images were pretty spot-on in most parts, but the underlying themes were mostly untouched, and many important things were cut for either longer fight/sex scenes or dialogue that they added themselves to fill in gaps, but ultimately feeling out of place. Also the acting was off, and Ackerman as SS was miscast. Nobody seemed to understand their characters though.

  • Agreed.

  • The guy cast for Kovacs had a pretty good handle on his character, I think

  • I just saw it great movie

  • i love how these amazing sets look so realistic and look like real on-location sets but are really plywood walls painted to look like bricks, its amazing

  • alan moore lives few roads away from me. he always stands out when i see him down town. altho ud be surprised how many people do not recognise him =[

  • Awesome, awesome movie. Totally worth the wait, and seeing it again tomorrow with friends who had work tonight. :P

  • dont bother....

its 3 hours movie, abut 1 hours of it its completly abut sex and abuse and its totaly just talking...

btw if u going to see it dont take anyone under 15 with u...

and.. Dr manhatan walks naked in the entire movie... totaly over exposed

  • agreed, i mean when the 6 yr old girl is being chewed between dogs, who would take kids to see that?

  • Completely agree. The last thing this movie is designed for is kids... Amazing movie.

  • Have you even read the comic?... Manhatan is generally naked most of the time.

  • so freakin excited...

    going to see it tommorow

  • wow 1985!!! yippie! I feel like I'm 11 again!

  • Lol

  • *hides Niteowl COSTUME* idk wut u mean. i dont have their suit. lol

  • thanks

  • he's gonna get people pissed off either way, you can't satisfy everyone, especially not fanboys.

  • this movie has to be perfect or zach will get HAMMERED with complaints!

  • the people say it rules fanboys should slash their wrists because nobody cares.

  • i cant wait havent heard of the cartoon but the movie looks awasome

  • cartoon?? it was a graphic novel

  • OMG I have a serious man crush on this whole movie and everyone involved.

  • one thing i noticed: the cars. in the book the cars are electric and are curvy and futuristic because of manhattan. i guess it would take a great deal of work to re-create the cars but there are no blocky-boaty carsof the 80'sin the watchmen world

  • I love how they manage to bring the colors used in the comic to life. The purples, yellows, oranges, greens... it's all in there.

  • Going to be a kick ass movie. They are putting a lot of effort into this cause they know fan boys will get pissed off and snipe them out if its not done properly

  • plz!!!

  • What is the name of the song from beggining?

  • The end is the beginning is the end by the smashing pumpkins.

  • excuse me Sir, but what the hell are you talking about, I read the whole thing yesterday and there is not animal sex or pedophilia. PLEASE EXPLAIN.

  • You got ripped man, must've been some bootleg knock off. But yeah Bestiality, pedophelia, and rape, groundbreaking shit.

  • He's just being a jackass. You aren't taking him seriously are you?

  • They didn't learn from the first guy, I was just hoping it wouldn't happen twice. I've lost faith.

  • you're fucking retarded! I bet take it up the chuff

  • Can some answer the goshdarn question? What is the name of that song??

  • The end is the beginning is the end by the smashing pumpkins.

  • thx for the playlist

  • What is the name of the song!

  • these "behind the scenes" are the same than the video journal videos?

  • saw a screening, he didn't change the ending.

  • wut is watchmen about

  • You.

  • Read the graphic novel

  • sex with animals in order to become stronger wtf not true at all...

  • Woah no, no, no, no, no...

    You are very very confused.

There was no sex with animals!

Yes, there was domestic violence between the Comdien and Sally - but that was not a key role in saving the world!

    No pedophila either, chief...

  • I can tell you already that it "doesn't look like it should" and I'm a little more than "cranky". I want to kick Zack Snyder in the gonads.

Oh, the sets look okay, it's the presentation and alterations that are the problem.

  • You need to understand you can't directly convert a book, comics especially into a movie - alterations are unavoidable.

Also, I wouldn't go so far to judge the entire movie before it's even released, hopefully you'll be proved wrong, and enjoy it. Don't go into the cinema with a bad attitude.

  • I know that things have to be altered to combat the reality of film production, but changing the ending is not part of that.

And what I wrote was not a prediction, it was a reaction.

  • Like what? I don't see any problems

  • are you australian ? :)
