Vocaloid is a series of computer programs. They object of Vocaloid is to create or re-create version of anime or j-pop style music or melodies. Miku Hastune is one of the "mascots" or versions of Vocaloid. In order of oldest to youngest (from creation):

Miku

Rin&Len

But thats just the Japanese Vocaloids. There is also English ones, but don't offer the same like Miku and the other Japanese Vocaloids. Hope that helps!!

well yeah, you can try Prima, Miriam, Sweet Ann, Leon or Lola. If you do it in a Japanese vocaloid, it's possible but you have to break each word into japanese (like = raiku) but there may be something that lets you do it easier cuz I saw one with Miku singing Umbrella with decent pronunciation

People criticize Hatsune an awful lot, but often I think the quality of her songs depends largely on the skill of the person manipulating the program. I heard two versions of the same song with Hatsune, the only difference being that a different person did each. The second was much better, very close to the original, and pleasant to listen to. The first was shaky, sounded off key, and was basically a mess. So you really can't judge Hastune off of one song.

it sounds odd odd.. ppl need to fix the tuning a little, different singer might need to adjust it a little (applies to machine as well) there are some ppl that are hard to imitate thought because some tend to have their own original voice (unless they have more hatsune miku version A,B,C with different voice) lol
