  • too far ahead of his time... thank you MR. TWEEDY

  • good video, thanks !

  • I dont know how many times... Ive whispered to myself "I am trying to break your heart" ... when a girl asked me "what are you doing?" Hehe... Very catchy song.

  • The Avett Brothers and Drive-by Truckers have been tainted for me by my ex....I still listen to them but it hurts to :/

  • GREAT MUSIC VIDEO IS SO COOL

  • If the singer will take a vacation this may be a nice show.

  • @muzicfuzzicify you tool...

  • tweedy and wayne coyne are tied as the coolest man on earth. next to jesus of course

  • they killed this song live

  • I completely disagree.

  • Very special song.

  • That T-Pain song is pretty bad... but come on, how could anyone not click on a video named "I'm N Luv (Wit A Stripper)"? It doesn't mean anyone actually likes the song.

  • how cool is jeff!!

  • Nice, I was at this show!

  • while I was at the hosplital this summer, there was this guy who was a brilliant piano player and he told me his favorite band was wilco.

  • This sounds so good live. Amazing song by a fantastic band

  • Top song!!

  • kinda crazy. i met jeff tweedy by default and didn't even know the band. they rock

  • lol...this video has 135k views while T-Pain's I'm N Luv (Wit A Stripper) has over 12 million views...

I'm very happy that most of the world has terrible taste and intelligent people listen to intelligent, lovely music.

Not knocking T Pain but the people listening to the same music over and over again. Maybe they should turn the vocals to Auto-tune....

    btw 2:27 EPIC

  • wilco was the first band I ever saw live. fucking amazing experience.

  • this is not a joke so please stop smiling

  • love is

  • i guess they were trying to break her heart.

  • Nels Cline has much more artistic license that world party

  • World Party? There's a whole band here, dude, not just a vocalist. And this band has chunks of bands like World Party in their stool.

  • I loves Wilco.

  • i saw them live last night and man can they put on a show

  • IU baby, solid night

  • Yea i did too, i saw them in Athens last night they sounded great.

  • Thanks for sharing a great video!

  • one of their best

  • Definitely one of the best ever!!!

  • dude if thats true, that's insane

you gotta have a good ending to that life

and you can even see how tweedy's moved on

    in the video

  • I found the love of my life at the same time i discovered Wilco. Wilco was our favorite band. She broke off the engagement. That was a year or so ago and only lately am i able to listen to Wilco again. It still hurts. But Wilco is still magic. Listening now in a context other than love- every lyric has changed! So- the lesson of all this?-

NEVER FALL IN LOVE TO A BAND YOU'RE JUST DISCOVERING. Especially a band as wonderful and powerful as Wilco.

  • had the exact same experience, though i feel the opposite. falling in love with a beautiful accompaniement amplifies all those feelings, and makes both so much better. and now listening to them reminds me of all the joy and happiness i felt at that time, and i can relive it over and over, and use that memory as a reference in searching for new love and new music.

  • You said it! I saw them at red rocks two nights ago and I must say it was one of the best experiences of my life.

  • song is depressing :/

  • Greatest opening song in the history of opening songs...

  • i've seen them live & they are fantastic - probably one of my favorite shows ever.

  • Best opener song ever

  • this is soo great!

  • Fair To Midland are extremely terrible. Wilco are fantastic and original, but by no stretch are they the band of the decade.

  • Wilco is brilliant, Jeff Tweedy is a genius, and YHF is one of my favorite albums of all time. However, I think best band of the decade is a little bit of a stretch.

  • fair to midland fucking sucks.

  • na its not the best band fron the decade, there are so many more bands

  • Such as? And please please please don't say Coldplay. Or the Killers.

  • coldplay and the killers? i hate those bands that make music only for commercialization, like MCR or fall out boy.

have u heard about fair to midland?...

maybe is not the same style as Wilco, but, like i said, there are so many bands out there.

  • I've never listened to fair to Midland. It's true there are a lot of bands out there. I'm just having a hard time thinking of a band that has written more "good" songs than Wilco in the last 10 years. That's my opinion.

Many bands have had far more success with far lesser material.

Although I'm not even sure what it's worth to say that Wilco was the brightest light during an era when the rock 'n roll flame was extinguished.

  • ...fall out boy!? ...better than wilco, are you ef'n kidding? i bet your emo

  • coldplay and the killers? i hate those bands that make music only for commercialization, like MCR or fall out boy...

DO U KNOW HOW TO READ??

  • ya, there are many bands that don't make music for commercialization, and even if you consider fall out boy or my chem. rom. one of them that doesn't mean they are any good, in fact, i don't even consider it opinion, they arent trying anything new. but for real, i hear more about both those bands than the killers, coldplay is a different story, but i would still prefer them to your choices. wilco, radiohead, fleet foxes, grizzly bear, sufjan stevens, andrew bird, sigur ros, they are all changing music

  • what choices?

i only said that i dont like commercialization

    mcr, FOB, the killers...

im just saying that there are many more bands that are good out there!

they dont need to be very popular to be GREAT bands

  • oh, shoot, i just reread your comment, i thought you were using those bands as examples of uncommercialized bands that were good. sorry man, I totally agree though, so much to be uncovered.

  • couldn't agree more. I used to love love Coldplay to death. Then I found bands like Sigur Ros and Wilco that cut through the bullshit. Their voices, their style, the little things in the sound all have some transcendent property that says we aren't here to prove anything, we're just here to bare our soul. I get that feeling when I see the Killers live, and especially when I listen to anything Sigur Ros.

  • I've seen Wilco 3 times. They played this song every time. Best band of the decade?? I think so.

  • great band but i think they have a way to go before they get that title

  • Well rolling stone has dubbed them as the best rock band in the last decade

  • Don't mess with a guy who assassins down the avenue!

  • lets cuddle a little

  • me too

  • God damn this album rules. I remember when I first got it...just fantastic music.

  • whoa, Jeff's grown a serious beard since Denver.... great band, great albums, great times!!!

  • i think its kindof an "on tour" thing

  • such a complex and simple song at the same time.. legend

  • didnt provoke the same emotional reasponse from the studio ver but it still kicks ass and mc22881 i was the same way when i heard it for the first time

  • I remember the night i first heard this song. I had just gotten a burned disk and was listening to it in the car with some friends on the way home from somewhere. I was so blown away. You ever get that feeling that a song is written about you? Even as the CD played on, all I could hear was this song playing over again in my head. After I dropped my friends off I sat in my driveway and listened to this track over and over again. I was moved to tears by the 2nd or 3rd playing.

  • mc22881: Music is powerful. Anyone who values music as a sacred entity understands what you are saying. The goosebumps as you hear the lyrics, feel the melody, feel the artist's exact intentions, etc. I've been following them since high school (mid 90s) and their music still has the same effect on me.

  • my thoughts exactly.

  • Glenn Kotche is awesome!

  • Bluesfest 2006 was wicked.

  • still my favorite song...nice photo album on Flickr ;)

  • thanks!

  • they are amazing and this song is even more so

  • Wilco is such a fantastic band on record and even more so on stage. I can't believe how good their live show is and I've seen lots and lots of great artists.

  • god i love wilco there from the county right across mine..go wilco represent the windy city

  • Belleville represent.

  • wilco puts on such a great live show.

  • wow. thats great. thank you SO much. moron.

  • this makes me explode in my pants

  • i just saw this live and it was amazing. this is deffinately my favorite song by wilco. when i saw them i really liked it when he shouted I am trying to break your heart. too bad he didnt in this. it sounded awesome

  • glenn makes me feel good about being alive

  • and sweet jesus look at tweedy's beard!

  • favorite fucking song ever

  • Sounds of hell and I wanna go to hell.

  • i get to see um in new orleans!im so excited

  • he looks like a hobo...what a badass

  • I was at this show!! Road-tripped for six hours each way to make it... great festival, great city.

  • YEA!! YEAH!!

  • Glenn. Fucking. Kotche.

  • <3 <3 <3

  • finally! after ten years they came to my town and i could catch them playing live last saturday. wilco in dresden - that was one of my favorite-shows, and i´ve seen a lot...

  • jeff and the band kicking in america (together with pearl jam)

  • I love this song so fucking much!

  • Damnit guys, come back to Montreal! I need to see you live!

  • The best band in America today!

  • This song breaks my heart...cuz i wuv it

  • my internet two-bits: wilco's progressed into a way better band. Ghost is born is awesome experimental, and Sky Blue Sky is basically a maturer YHF. imho...

  • I think it's really cool how with this type of music you "miss" little bits when you hear it live...like with the keyboard riff you notice there's no gong/bell type sound on top of it

  • nels cline... what a beautiful texture and addition to the group. :)

  • They still are such a great band...yankee was just as brilliant as the early stuff.

  • Yankee is absolutely as brilliant as the earlier stuff.

  • I'll go really crazy here and say YHF is MORE brilliant than the early stuff.

    OH CONTROVERSY!

  • amazing....wish i could've been there to witness it's glory.

  • i hate the new "experimental" stuff, BUT I LIKE THE "A.M. & Being There" Songs....

they were such a great band!!

  • man, you gotta look at what they're really trying to do with the new music. It has so much more feeling in it

  • yea I could have been there

  • Why did you not? :o(
