Now I can't wait till I get to develop a better relationship with my two degus to where I can interact with both of them this closely. Only one of them I can interact with somewhat like this but the other is still shy. They will be 4 months old on the 24th of December and I just recently got them at the end of November. They are the best! They have gotten more comfortable but I'm just giving them time to adjust to me and their new life.
My girls make the same noises at me, except they don't move! They'll bark at me as I pet them until they've had enough and move away, sqeeking threats.
