The knife lock is plenty strong with a long blade. But, the Smith has a flat grind on a thin piece of VG10 and is only for cutting, the Smith is not the kind of knife for people who think knives should double as crowbars. I really like the flat grind and the sharply pointed tip. The tip has been much more versatile than I expected. The handle is comfortable and the G10 works well. I do have to re-tighten my clip screws on occasion.

My assumption is it got stuck when getting a drink. We get bats in the building about 2-4 times a year. Usually they make their own way out.
