the reason why then came out with the 120 is the original 160 crashed all time so they went back to the drawing board worked out the bugs and re-released it a "7th gen" that we all know and love

For gaming purposes, you know, since first gen didn't include them.

A first generation that has a lot of space and can keep its charge. What Apple should do is release the first gen of iPod Classic and have it "remastered" with the remastered part including more space. It would look like the first one, feel like it and have the same menus as it. But it would only have more music space on it. No other differences would be included. They should do this with iPod Classic, to give it a more classic feel, though they would still sell the current generation classic.

keep in mind, there were revisions of particular iClassics.

like the 5th gen for example, a 5.5 gen was made in 2006 and had better, faster, stronger(daft reference) processing, and such.

some of the 4th gens were made by HP and have the HP logo beneath the apple logo on the back. Apple will not service these ipods if you have an issue with it.

i reckon they should scrap the ipod classic and increase the ipod touch and ipad capacity to 128GB at least. ipod classic is boring anyways, everybody is kinda over the whole click wheel thing, its all touch these days.

i cant imagine Apple can improve on the classic other than trying to make it thin as the ipod touch or maybe increase in disk space. Besides ipod classic's screen is too small now, has no purpose.

I really love and have always loved the ipod and I really respect the way you have went about collecting all of your ipods.I have since done the same. i feel like everyone is so hung up on condition of the ipod, but I like used ones that work a lot better because the ipod was made for the love of music and a used ipod is a loved ipod. I love using and showing off my old ipods!

@techboy1996 The iPod Classic is pretty outdated technology and they have not updated it in quite a few years. When Steve jobs announced the new iPods, he said that ALL iPods were updated for 2010...but conspicuosly left off the iPod Classic...suggesting the end is near.
