John, Luke etc any scholar will tell you that they are unsure if it was Christs actual apostles who wrote the book so its credibility can be questioned. If this were about the inconsistencies of, for example the gospel of Mark and the gospel of Luke, Christians would be all over it. They would argue for or against two verses and try to reconcile the differences. There are book loads of commentaries, that read like encyclopedias, on each gospel. So you could posit your own theory or plagiarize.

They would argue for or against two verses and try to reconcile the differences. There are book loads of commentaries, that read like encyclopedias, on each gospel. Jibraeel A.S the great angel of God (Gabriel in the injeel) came to Muhammad pbuh with small pieces of the quranic verses bit by bit, after which he got his sahabah who could write to copy down the verses that had been revealed to Muhammad pbuh by Jibrael A.S, who got the verses directly from Allah. This took 23 years, from 40 to 63 y.o.
