True, Libya has got lots of oil. But the revenues from it were not distributed to the Libyan people, but Ghaddafi has kept all for himself, his family and his tribe. Think of this how you want. But it is about oil. We already are paying 3.70 a us gal. With this uprise alone the gas price has risen by more than .50 cents in 3 weeks. The world economy is still unstable yet there is signs of a great recovery. This is going to hinder the recovery and slump the world back into a recession. I say the US should support France and invade. We had a chance to take out Gaddafi in 88 and now with ties of the Lockerbie bombing. I think its time we take control!

I won't absolute subscribe to the notion that Russia Today isn't somewhat bias, simply because of the Russian connection, but this was a refreshing broadcast. Very wealthy middle eastern countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait are proof of that. The US will fight to protect access to oil, and to secure oil sales but they do pay for the oil.
