dude I don't know what order you did it my I maxed out trickster and royal guard first between the 2 I almost never took any damage with Dante. And a hit from a maxed Royal Guard even on bosses is insane. See how you play that style might help you out goto bloody till you can get it to work for you after that the game is stupidly easy with Dante.

You really aren't using that style to its potential. The air combo for Dark Slayer is one of the easiest to JC in this game, and if you precede it by using Gilgamesh's Vortex ability, coupled with a Devil Trigger, you can beat this boss in half the time, if not more than half.

yeah theres a way to stop his lighting mode in 1 hit but u gotta be very precise...u gotta hit him with lucifier in the head then the lighting on his body will disapear

With Royalguard,

Atack him with Rebellion and press Style button quickly.

Or attack him (in the air) with Gilgamesh with TRIANGLE and push styile button [This combo will stun his more quickly than Rebellion]

When he were stunned, attack until he makes like a "scream" like FROSTS, then use SWORDMASTER with GILGAMESH and push R1+back+O with NO DEMON, repet it with DEMON.

If he become red, jump with GILGAMESH and when u hit him, press Style button with ROYALGUARD

Took me about 40 seconds to kill it with dark slayer and with rebelion. I do have a maxed out D.T gauge with Trigger heart tho. So it lasted almost the whole fight. (Dante Must Die)

Something they really need to do in DMC5 is: Keep the Style switching in gameplay, Have more weapons and switch to every weapon when you want like the Styles, have Vergil as a player, have VERY much more combos(IMO every DMC game have so few combos)

I prefer using Trickster, i'm almost untouchable with it. Even i love Yamato, Dark Slayer isn't a style i really like or even use. Rebelion and Coyote-A with Trickster is my favorite combination, at jumps or gathering enemies i change to Evony&Ivory and Gun Slighter, then is bullet rain!

I'm a fan of Trickster/shotty as well, but I like to change the melee weapons on the fly, because you rack up serious damage that way.

Yea, with this guy you cand cut a lot, thought i have never tore so mush so fast in son of sparda. But for example, with the fire boss i almost only shoot to him until he lost his powers.

Any way, i prefer yamato with nero, even more than playing with dante.

By the way, you know if hell or hell mode is like heaven or hell, where you die with a shoot and enemies also?

Dark slayer may not be as good as some of the other styles but you didn't even land any attacks with it. Just because you can't time your attacks right doesn't mean the style sucks.

DarkSlayer is good for crowd control but I agree. As a standalone style it only has its best usage in the air with Jump Cancels but you can close combos with the Slash Dimensions.

It really needed more moves. That's probably its biggest shortcoming. DarkSlayer just doesn't have enough moves to make it a useful style.
