It's obvious why this test is soo much better than other tests. The camera is mounted on a dolly so it doesn't exhibit the extreme wobble effect when using shaky hands. But there is still that evident in the not so smooth motion.

Nice to see the full-quality video like what they showed at the unveiling event! The quality is pretty excellent with time lapse and the rig that you used; that makes me happy :). That being said, however, I've read about a dozen reviews from different web sites, and in taking still photos and handheld videos it seems that the Nexus fares poorer compared to the Galaxy SII series (especially in indoor shots, where photos appear faded). You win some, and you lose so. Overall though, great phone!

My almost 3 year old Samsung Innov8 has an 8MP camera, and tbh the sensor is nowhere near capable of filling in the details of 8MP, and so there ends up being a horrible amount of noise. So I'm elated with the 5MP, 0 shutter lag and improved sensor. It will really give meaning to "point and shoot".

@deathbyfugu1987 Pentile is indeed disappointing, but it wont be as bad as we think with over 300ppi, and also would save lot more energy than RGB Stripe, like Super Amoled Plus. 720p on Plus display would eat up the battery, although Super Amoled screen does save more energy than normal IPS LCD displays.

anyway, awesome camera, not getting into 8MP was the right decision, less pixel density means better low light performance, better video, etc.

the nuance and color grading, light/shadow, contrast is really spectacular, every impressive. by that I think that it has pretty good low light performance as well.

@iNONSENSE Sorry mate, not trying to argue with you, I thought you might like to know that the D5100 does have this feature built in. If you go to live view and scroll through the effects and hit miniaturize , minimise the minture effect hen record, the camera shoots intervals then stitches it up to make a time lapse movie. The maximum you can shoot for is around 45mins, you basically end up with a 3minute max movie. The camera does everything so you can even view it back in time lapse too. :)
