What Leviticus actually meant by that was that you shouldn't treat a man as you would a women. A women was a man's property then, she belonged to him. A man should never treat a fellow man in that way because man could not own fellow man in the way a man owned a women.

I seriously don't understand why people are against gay/lesbians. Who cares what people choose to be it's their life and body. They can do whatever they please. I bet some gay parents are better than straight ones and vise versa, so I don't think it affects the children as much, as long as they make their own choices.

@pinheadman665 The thing is that people will happily pick and choose verses from the Bible that support their views and ignore or excuse the ones that don't; Lev. also says adulterers should be put to death (Lev 20:10-12), that blasphemers should be stoned (24:16) and slavery is endorsed (25:44-46).
You're right, they're not really Christian;, if that means one has to follow the word of the Bible. That said, I think Donovan is better person for doing the right thing regardless.

What Leviticus actually meant by that was that you shouldn't treat a man as you would a women. A women was a man's property then, she belonged to him. A man should never treat a fellow man in that way because man could not own fellow man in the way a man owned a women.
However- Leviticus also said that divorce was condemned and that wearing two types of cloth.
Unless you want to shoot all unmarried, non-virginal women, divorcees and people who wear mixed fabrics.. stop preaching

The spread of STD, such as herpes & genital warts, is higher among homos as well. That’s not “hate speech,” those are documented facts. ‘Gay Liberation’ has gone WAY too far. Example: my brother was hounded out of a High School teaching job, just for comments he made at a PTA meeting, which were deemed ‘offensive’.
All he said was that appointing an openly gay teacher last year required the school to beef up its child protection guidelines. It’s an acknowledged fact that gays are more prone to pedophilia than the normal people (most admit it themselves); surely KIDS’ SAFETY should be paramount, not gays’ hurt feelings?
